Abstract: An adjustable snelled hook assembly comprises a fishing line with a trailing hook secured thereto. An auxiliary hook has a shank, a barb and an eye loosely and slidably mounted upon the fishing line adjustably spaced from the trailing hook. A coil spring is mounted upon the shank and is generally parallel to the fishing line. A plurality of continuous windings of the line extend around and snugly engage the spring and shank to anchor the auxiliary hook upon the fishing line.
Abstract: A mobile office comprises a carrying case having a hollow rectangular base and a hollow cover hingedly connected thereto; with a first platform positioned within the base and anchored therein. A lap-top computer is mounted upon and anchored to the first platform adapted for connection to an electric power source and includes a video display screen normally enclosed within the profile of the cover when closed and pivotal to an upright use position when the cover is open. A second platform is positioned within the base and anchored therein and spaced from the bottom of the base defining a paper storage chamber. An electronic pointer is mounted upon and anchored to the second platform and connected to the computer. A stack of tractor feed manifold paper is positioned within the storage chamber with its lead edge threaded into the printer. The cover includes a storage chamber for a multiple chamber collapsible manifold and a second chamber with cover to mount and close a cellular telephone and modem.
Abstract: A template for cutting floor-covering tiles or the like. The template comprises a deformable frame having five flat strips which are fixed together end-to-end, said strips comprising: (a) a thrust strip (1) provided with a positioning abutment (10); (b) two side strips (2, 3) capable of sliding perpendicularly to the thrust strip (1); and (c) a set of two line-of-cut strips (4, 5) which are hinged to each other, and which are also hinged to the ends of the two side strips (2, 3) by means of shafts (21, 31) capable of longitudinal sliding relative thereon; locking members (15, 16) being provided to enable the set of strips (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to be locked in any desired mutual position. This instrument is used for cutting peripheral tiles when laying a covering on a floor, a wall, or a ceiling. The invention is particularly applicable to carpet tiles.
