The apparatus comprises supports 30 mounted dependent from the crane carriage along opposite sides of the load carrying station. A cradle 61 is pivotably suspended from the crane for pivotal movement about an axis passing through the load carrying station. Elements 34, 36, 38, 42, 44, 46, 52, 60 are included for pivoting the cradle between a lowered position beneath the load carrying station and a raised position beside the load carrying station.

    Abstract: A steering stabilizer for a motor vehicle having a steerable wheel rotatably mounted to each side of the vehicle centerline and coupled with a steering mechanism. The stabilizer comprises a housing and means for mounting the housing to the vehicle steering mechanism. A pair of compression rings are positioned within the housing. A coupler is movably mounted to the housing with a portion of the coupler positioned between and in spring biased engagement with the compression springs. Means are provided for fastening the coupler to the vehicle at points to each side of the vehicle centerline.

    Abstract: A vapor delivery system is disclosed comprising a bubbler 12 is adapted to generate and deliver vapors from a vaporizable liquid contained therein, and a reservoir 30 in fluid communication with the bubbler 12 from which liquid may be continuously fed into the bubbler to replenish liquid vaporized within and withdrawn from the bubbler. The system further comprises means for sensing the level of vaporizable liquid in the bubbler and means for providing a gaseous head pressure in the reservoir of variable magnitude dependent upon the level of vaporizable liquid sensed by the sensing means to maintain the level of liquid in the bubbler substantially constant.

The reel changeover apparatus comprises a distributor through which strand material may be fed onto the reels mounted for movement over the reel axes, a pair of snaggers, and means for rotating the snaggers in mutual spaced, coplanar orbits adjacent a flange rim of each reel.     Abstract: A waterproof shielded cable is disclosed having a metallic shield formed with a longitudinal seam surrounding a core. A strip of material overlays the metallic shield seam with side edges located to each side of the seam. An extruded plastic jacket overlays the metallic shield and strip of material with the jacket being in intimate contact with the shield and with a principle surface of the strip of material but spaced from the strip side edges.A method is also disclosed for manufacturing a shielded cable which comprises the step of wrapping sheet metal about a cable core with the sheet metal edges overlapped to form a shield with a longitudinal seam. The shield seam is overlayed with a strip of material of a type characterized by being shrinkable when heated above a predetermined temperature, and with the strip edges straddling the shield seam. A plastic jacket is extruded onto the shielded core and strip of material at a temperature in excess of the predetermined temperature.

A carrier gas intake conduit 27,28 extends through the temperature controlled chamber and down into the bubbler through which carrier gas may be introduced into the bubbler. A vapor exhaust conduit 41,49 extends upwardly from the bubbler and through the temperature controlled chamber through which vapors may be carried from the bubbler entrained with the carrier gas to the vapor deposition station. A sensor 52 is positioned within that portion of the vapor exhaust conduit located within the temperature controlled chamber and operatively coupled with the bubbler heater controller.

    Abstract: A security device for an automobile trunk having a cylinder lock mounted within an opening in the trunk lid with a lock stem extending inwardly from the lid into a keyway of a trunk latch housing. The security device comprises a block defining a central aperture mounted snuggly about the cylinder lock overlaying the inside surface of the trunk lid about the trunk opening. A resilient mounting plate is mounted to the block and to the trunk lid. The block serves to inhibit prying of the lock outwardly from the trunk lid to expose and gain access to the trunk latch housing keyway through the trunk lid opening while the resilient mounting plate prevents the cylinder lock from falling and exposing the trunk latch housing keyway should the lock be pried inwardly.

Means 15, 17, 18, 19 are provided for introducing molten metal 16 into the casting wheel groove 12 under the endless band 20. A band hold-down roller 25 biases the band 20 firmly against the casting wheel rim overlaying the casting wheel groove 12. The hold-down roller 25 has an annular groove 26 located over the casting wheel groove into which an arched portion 21 of the endless metallic band 20 may intrude upon being heated by molten metal introduced into the casting wheel groove and thermally expanded.

The workpieces are illuminated with laser radiation at the welding station and then conveyed through a light trap out of the housing to an unloading station where they are unloaded.
