  • Patent number: 6601220
Abstract: According to the present invention, a method is provided for transistor level calculation of the precharge time of a domino logic circuit. In one version of the invention, the domino logic circuit has a plurality of cascaded stages, at least one stage having an unclocked evaluation path. In this version, the method includes the steps of determining a reset time for at least one stage of the domino circuit, determining a total reset time for the stages upstream of the at least one stage, and summing the reset time of the at least one stage with the total reset time of the cascaded stages upstream of the at least one stage to determine the precharge time. In another version, the method includes the step of performing a circuit analysis of the channel connected transistors in the at least one stage having an unclocked evaluation path.

  • Patent number: 6401108
Abstract: Floating-point compare apparatus and methods are implemented. An adder generates a difference in moduli of first and second input operands. A sign bit of the second input operand provides a carry-in bit to an adder. In a first embodiment, the first and second input operands correspond to first and second source operands of the executing floating-point compare instruction. Comparison logic generates the compare result in response to a sign bit of the difference, sign bits of the first and second input operands, and a signal that is asserted if the operands are equal, and if the floating-point compare instruction being executed is A≧B, and negated otherwise. In a second embodiment, the first and second input operands are derived from the first and second source operands via switching logic that interchanges the operands in response to predecoded instruction information.

  • Patent number: 4643459
Abstract: An apparatus for establishing a quick-connect fluid-tight coupling together of hose sections or the like. A pair of identical couplings are provided each interconnected to and terminating a respective hose section and adapted to be aligned along a common co-axis in mutual sealing engagement. Each coupling includes a body member having a circular seal face disposed in a plane perpendicular to the axis. Means are provided on each body member for releasably sealing the seal faces together in fluid-tight engagement by rotation of the body members in opposing directions about the axis. Each body member includes a locking assembly mechanism for automatically locking the respective body members together upon make-up to prevent further relative rotation in either direction or separating movement in the axial direction.
