Abstract: An automatic ammunition transfer device is disclosed. A reciprocating char block includes a stripper tab for moving ammunition rounds from the magazine into a round carrier mechanism. The round carrier mechanism includes spring load fingers for holding the round. The mechanism, with round therein, is moved from a stagging position to a chambering position for insertion of the round into the firing chamber by a four bar linkage arrangement. The four bar linkage is pivoted between the stagging and chambering positions in timed relation with the chamber block movement, as determined by a cam path located on the chamber block.

Abstract: An aerodynamic rotor having a flexible blade comprising a plurality of planar layers and an anvil having configured bearing areas engagable with the flexed blade is presented. The plurality of layers are slidably movable in a shearing motion with respect to other layers. The blade is secured by the anvil with the configured bearing areas being engagable with an adjacent portion of the blade when the blade is flexed by forces created by the driven rotory motion of the anvil about an axis of rotation. Such a rotor with a laminated blade exhibits reduced head moment forces and reduced stress/strain forces within the blade thereby permitting improved reliability and maintenance.

Abstract: Apparatus for nebulizing particulate laden undiluted oil samples of varying iscosities suitable for subsequent analysis utilizing atomic spectroscopic principles. Undiluted samples of varying viscosity are heated as they are fed through an inlet tube where the heated oil is fed into a channel groove and brought into contact with a nebulizing gas introduced through an orifice intersecting the channeled groove in which the oil flows.
