Abstract: A roll-up screen door includes a long, narrow housing having a length adapted to extend vertically for the full height of a door casement opening. The housing contains a conventional spring-biased roll upon which is initially wound a large sheet of flexible screen material, one end of which is secured to the roll so that the screen material can be unwound from the roll against the tension of the roll. When the housing is mounted adjacent to one side of the vertical trim strip along one side of the door casement opening, the screen material passes through a longitudinal exit slot in the housing in a plane located inwardly of the front face of the vertical trim strip, so that the screen material sealingly engages the adjacent vertical trim strip when it is stretched across the door opening.
Abstract: A plastic bobbin consisting of a hollow cone defined by a thin-walled sheath includes an inner skeletal frame of longitudinally-spaced circumferential ribs and radially-spaced longitudinal ribs defining an inner support surface for a mandrel with a sheath having segments of varying wall thickness and the outer surface having constant taper with respect to the bobbin axis. Some of the longitudinally-extending ribs may be partial ribs defined in each of the segments, the bobbin has a helical ridge of a particular trapazoidal cross-sectional to provide a guiding surface for the yarn being wound thereon.
Abstract: A decorative glass window product (10) including: (a) a sheet of glass (12); (b) a metal design component (14) in the form of a unitary, pre-cast, reticulated came network (16, 18), the design component (14) being bonded on its inner surface (22) to one side of the sheet of glass (12); and (c) a thin layer of an elastomeric adhesive (24) bonding the design component (14) to the sheet of glass (12). A process for making a decorative glass window product (10) including the steps of: (a) casting a unitary, reticulated metal came network (16, 18); (b) subjecting the reticulated came network (16, 18) to a finishing process wherein the color or finish of the came network is changed; and (c) elastomerically bonding the came network (16, 18) to one side of a continuous sheet of glass (12).
Abstract: A merchandising and display device includes a portable cabinet that has an inner compartment open at one end for slideably receiving a plurality of trays that are retained therein by a removable cover and a conversion kit attached to the cabinet and having a display surface divided into a plurality of individual segments each having individual identifying indicia corresponding with indicia attached to the exposed ends of the trays. A transparent cover extends across the display surface and is releasably secured to connecting means forming part of the kit so that the displayed articles may be kept under lock and key while a supply of each article is maintained in the trays.

Abstract: An air suspension system for each rear wheel of van-type vehicles features a seven-point articulated system. A pair of rearwardly diverging torque rods are pivotally attached to the axle hanger to provide a modified parallelogram linkage. The angle of divergence is set by an adjustable torque rod pivot point and an automatic pneumatic height restoration feature to dispose the torque rods at optimum orientation to provide, among other things, a measure of anti-rise action on braking. A pair of air springs mounted on articulated carrier arms carries the weight of the vehicle without the use of assisting springs. Anti-sway is provided by specification of elastic rates of bushings in pivots providing the articulation of the system.
Abstract: A seat suspension system includes a seat frame movably supported on a base in a fore and aft direction by guide rollers supported on the base and received into rails on the seat frame. A seat attenuating device supported on seat frame includes a rod rotatably supported on spaced brackets and having a lug extending rotatably therefrom between the supports with first and second coil springs telescoped over the rod and located between the lug and the respective supports. An accumulator is connected at one end to a rod and at the opposite end to one of the brackets, while a plate is supported on the base and has notches for receiving at least a portion of the lug to define a plurality of adjusted positions for the seat frame on the base. A lock-out member cooperates with the lug on the rod and is supported on the seat frame to fix the seat frame with respect to the base when desired.
Abstract: A game board includes a peripheral zone defining a plurality of spaces to be occupied by participant symbols and a plurality of substantially identical internal zones each representing a different currency and having a plurality of spaces defining a path which may be occupied by other participant symbols. Each of the peripheral spaces has instructions for the participants and additional cards are provided with additional instructions, such as revalution or devalution of the currencies.
Abstract: A mirror and package combination includes a single sheet of material that is folded to produce multiple-ply edge protectors along opposite edges and opposite ends of the mirror and completely encloses the peripheral edge of the mirror frame normally associated with such mirror. The package is formed by producing a plurality of fold lines on flaps that extend from a main body of a sheet to produce multiple-ply thickness supports at opposite ends of the mirror and also multiple-ply thickness supports along opposite sides of the mirror.

Abstract: A flexible one-way valve is produced by cutting two flexible members having identical peripheral configurations and a maximum width intermediate opposite ends and the peripheral edges are secured to each other to produce valve portion having an inlet opening along the point of maximum width, an outlet opening at one end. The remainder of the peripheral edges are left unattached so that the unattached portions define a support which can extend perpendicular to the axis of the valve. The valve portion preferably has a reduced area opening or throat between the inlet opening and the outlet opening.
Abstract: A roller bit for use with a drill string, having at least two cutters which are generally conically shaped; each cutter includes one or more teeth in inclined planes across a conical surface. The bit is attached to the drill string with the axis of rotation of the cutter angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the drill string. The teeth on each cutter are arranged for maximum cuttings size and penetration rate.
Abstract: An improved diagnostic and operative arthroscope is described having an extended eye piece and optical channel, an instrument channel, light source and irrigation channel. The functional channels and light source are secured in parallel and covered by a sheath so as to form a generally oval shape in cross-section, presenting a low profile and enabling the use of the arthroscope with incisions of relatively smaller size.
