    Abstract: An electronic system is disclosed that is particularly useful for synchronizing motion picture and sound recordings. The system includes a sensor that is positioned contiguous to a movie camera during filming and contiguous to a movie projector during film playback to sense a characteristic indicative of film movement and, responsive thereto, producing an electrical output signal. During filming, a sensor, such as a microphone or induction coil, may be positioned contiguous to the movie camera such as by placing the sensor in a cylinder screwed into a camera tripod socket. During playback, the sensor, such as a light sensor, may be positioned to sense light bursts of a running movie projector. A control unit receives the electrical output signal from the sensor and utilizes the same in controlling operation of an associated tape recorder.

    Abstract: A bicycle handlebar pack and support frame in which the support includes a means to cantilever the pack engaging portion of the support from the gooseneck-handlebar intersection of a bicycle, the pack engaging portion preferably comprising normally substantially horizontal forked members adapted to engage pocket portions on either side of the pack, normally vertical members depending from the support, releasable engaging means on the pack to secure the pack to the support, and a resilient member extending from the support at a position below the gooseneck-handlebar engaging portion, and preferably from the depending members, to the bicycle frame to bias the support into a stable relationship with the bicycle without interfering with convenient removal of the pack from the support.

    Abstract: A storage container is disclosed as well as a liquid storage system. Each container has walls of thin plastic material with the top and one sidewall of each container including a plurality of protuberances and the bottom and other sidewall including a plurality of indentations complementary to the protuberances so that, when like storage containers are brought into adjacent relationship, protuberances in one wall of one container are received in and mate with the indentations in one wall of the other container to facilitate maintaining vertical stacking and/or abutting side-by-side relationship of the system. The protuberances and indentations preferably have complementary slanting walls and each container wall preferably includes three such protuberances or indentations which are of substantial dimensions to also strengthen said walls.

The upper section is enclosed with food being placed into the upper section by service personnel through sliding doors at the rear wall thereof, while food is withdrawn by customers through a pair of contoured openings in the front wall. The enclosure for the upper section is preferably transparent except for the sliding doors in the rear walls which preferably have mirror finishes, and the tray within the enclosure and upon which food is displayed is preferably inclined downwardly and forwardly, as is the top wall of the enclosure.

    Abstract: A golf club cleaning apparatus is disclosed that is capable of cleaning both right-handed and left-handed irons and woods and is also capable of cleaning the faces and the bottom of irons as well as the front driving face and sole plate of woods. A first opening into the apparatus is provided for right-handed clubs, and a second opening is provided for left-handed clubs, with each opening being designed to accept either a wood or an iron for cleaning of the same. The overall appearance of the apparatus resembles a golf ball sitting on a tee, with the upper portion being at least partially filled with a cleaning or washing liquid. A golf club is held in place after insertion through one of the openings into the device, with the bottom and back in contact with a receiving tray.

    Abstract: A bale positioning device is disclosed for positioning bales in a manner such that pickup by an agricultural loading machine is facilitated. The positioning device is mounted near the intake bale chute of a conventional bale loading machine and includes a spider wheel that is adjustably mounted for free rotation on one end of an arm that has the other end adjustably connected with a bell crank mechanism such that said spider wheel is both lifted and rotated upon actuation of the bell crank mechanism. When the spider wheel is brought into contact with a bale that is not properly positioned, the wheel will cause the bale to be shifted about a vertical axis and/or a horizontal axis as the machine proceeds forwardly to thereby properly position the bale for entry into the intake chute of the pickup machine.

    Abstract: A forming device and method is disclosed herein that is particularly useful for forming large parts of polyurethane material. The forming device includes a proportioner that meters relative amounts of materials through separate supply sources to a mixer where the materials are combined and then supplied to a mold, the mold being then rotated to displace the materials throughout the mold to form therefrom a part having a preselected shape. Where the materials to be combined are polyurethane components, the components are combined and quickly supplied to the mold to displace and cure the part while in said mold.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for bundling firewood. Relatively large pieces of wood, preferably first split and cut into convenient lengths, are compressed and while compressed have a strap applied therearound after which the applied pressure is released to form a bundle of firewood that is tightly banded. The apparatus includes a base section having a pair of spaced upwardly opening U-shaped members upon which the pieces of firewood are stacked with the end portions of the firewood supported by the U-shaped members. A pressure platen section is mounted above the base section and includes a second pair of U-shaped members that are downwardly directed and aligned with the U-shaped members of the base section so that, as the pressure platen is moved downwardly, the pieces of wood therebetween are compressed. The pressure platen section is moved upwardly and downwardly by a hydraulic ram and about eight tons of pressure is preferably exerted to compress and contour the wood into a cylindrical bundle.
