Abstract: This invention is concerning a machine for rock removal and soil cultivation of newly broken or established farming areas. The machine picks up soil and rocks to a significant depth, and by a mixing and grinding process, breaks up sod, roots, and lumps of soil and by a classification process returns the size reduced material and small rocks to the ground, and retains the larger rocks.
Abstract: An apparatus for enrobing discrete objects. The device includes a perforated drum adapted to receive and tumble a charge of discrete objects to be coated and which is rotatable about its horizontal axis. The tumbling charge is periodically wetted with coating material and is dried by a stream of selectively conditioned air passed through the charge. During the initial phase of each drying operation a high velocity conditioned air stream employing a high percentage of reconditioned air is employed that effects rapid drying without deleteriously affecting the surface of the coated objects. During the final phase of each drying operation velocities are reduced and higher percentages of unrecirculated conditioned air is employed to assure continuity of drying with a concomitant production of an optimum surface of coating material thereon.

Abstract: Process for effecting the selective removal of sulfur dioxide values from industrial waste gases or the like and conversion thereof to elemental sulfur wherein a particularly constituted solution of mixed ammonium phosphates is exposed to absorbent contact with the sulfur dioxide bearing gas stream followed by recovery of the sulfur values therefrom and regeneration of the absorbent solution preparatory to reexposure thereof to the sulfur dioxide bearing gas stream.

Abstract: Recovery of selectively constituted high purity aluminum chloride from the gaseous effluent of the chlorination of sodium contaminated alumina including the steps of purifying such gaseous effluent to provide essentially contaminant-free aluminum chloride in gaseous form in a gaseous carrier through selectively cooling the hot gaseous effluent to a temperature range well below the chlorination temperature but above the ambient condition condensation temperature of aluminum chloride yet sufficient to condense a selective portion of the condensable constituents therein including substantially all of the sodium aluminum chloride values therein, intermediate the steps of passing such gaseous effluent through filtration media to effect the separation of the condensed sodium aluminum chloride values and entrained solid and liquid particles therefrom and condensing high purity aluminum chloride values from the purified residual gaseous effluent to selectively constituted solid form at controlled temperatures.
