Abstract: A pollution control system includes a condenser and filtering unit for removing vaporized organic solvents and particulate matter. The condenser includes baffles that define vertical flow paths, and hot exhaust gases are directed from above to alternate flow paths to flow downward while atmospheric air is directed upwardly through the remaining flow paths to cool the exhaust gases and the heated air is used to maintain the atmospheric air above a selected temperature. The filter unit includes a horizontal movable filter which is automatically replaced with a new filter section when the pressure differential across the filter exceeds a certain level.

Abstract: A terminal provides for ordering merchandise from any one of a plurality of merchants over the direct distance dial telephone network while remaining at home. Printed merchandise codes are electronically read by a wand of a bar code reader that is passed thereacross, automating data entry. Separate or integral memory cartridges carry a set of recognition data for each merchant order receiving device, the recognition data being required to validate the entry of an order in an order receiving device. A liquid crystal character display, indicator lights and user actuated switches provided for guiding a user through the ordering sequence for each merchant.

Abstract: A golf glove including a main body having a palm portion and a back portion with a fastener means interconnecting segments of the back portion and defining retaining means for a ball marker. The fastener means includes first and second layers peripherally interconnected to define a pocket therebetween and a cut-out produces a closure for gaining access to the pocket. The fastener or flap is connected to the main body through an elastic member that is inserted between the two layers of the flap and connected to the main body, while one layer of the flap is in the form of a fastener element that cooperates with a second fastener element secured to the main body of the golf glove.

Abstract: A portable outdoor grill including a hemispherical bowl and a hemispherical lid with the bowl having outwardly-directed flanges supported on spaced side members of a cart. The side members have lid-supporting clips adjacent the bowl that support the lid in an upright position adjacent the bowl. The clips are held on the side members for limited longitudinal movement by offset ends on an article-support surface to be assemblable without the use of tools.

Abstract: A fume hood is fabricated of three or four like modules to a desired partial or full cylindrical structure having a reaction chamber therein. Each module has an upstanding, arcuate circumferential outer wall and an upper wall and base extending inwardly therefrom in coincidence above and below one another. The top wall and base have the shape of a sector of a circle with their apexes opposite the outer wall and the outer wall being the arc of the sector. An inner wall spaced interior of the outer wall defines an exhaust passageway therebetween with movement of gases and air being through exhaust ports through the inner wall. The exhaust ports are spaced apart between the top wall and base and are at constant certain distances from the top wall and base.

Abstract: A birdfeeder consisting of a center column or post that has a multi-sided sloped roof on the upper end thereof and downwardly-directed abutments spaced inwardly from the outer edges. A lower support member is carried by the post and a plurality of identical compartments are configured to be inserted by sliding engagement with the outer wall against the abutment and subsequent inward tilting to position the lower edge over the support member to rest on the support member.

Abstract: A flavorizing element for evaporating greases in an outdoor gas grill consists of an inverted V-shaped member having a pair of flat inclined walls defining an included angle of more than 90.degree. so that grease will evaporate while flowing across the heated inclined walls. The walls have vent openings formed by deforming tabs in the walls.

Abstract: The cutter mechanism for slitting laminate material interconnecting overlapping borders of adjacent articles includes an elongated body that has a pair of upwardly-extending guide feet on opposite ends along one edge of the body and downwardly-extending guide feet on opposite ends adjacent the other edge with a generally rectangular slot between the respective feet and extending from opposite ends. The slots have bases which extend perpendicular to the opposite edges and thus perpendicular to the path of movement of the cutter means to provide sharp cutting edges between the respective feet.
