  • Patent number: 6520581
Abstract: An automotive seat assembly (14) has a seat cushion assembly (13) and a seat back assembly (17). A pair of rear seat supports (28) are pivotally mounted to the rearward end (20) of the seat cushion assembly (13) for supporting a rear portion of the seat assembly (14). A pair of front seat supports (30), which each include a pair of legs (36, 38), are mounted to the forward end (18) of the seat cushion assembly (13) for supporting a front portion of the seat assembly (14). A link (40) interconnects each of the front seat supports (30) to a corresponding rear seat support (28) for moving the rear seat supports (28) between a seating position and a tumbled position. In the seating position, the front (30) and rear seat supports (28) extend downwardly from the seat cushion assembly (13). In the tumbled position, the seat cushion assembly (13) pivots upward about the front seat supports (30) and the rear seat supports (28) fold against the seat cushion assembly (13).

  • Patent number: 6484856
Abstract: A speed-difference-dependent hydraulic, consisting of a stationary rotating gear housing (27) with a housing (25) which forms a reservoir for operating fluid, a hydrostatic displacement machine (35), a drive shaft (30), a friction coupling (36) and a piston (5) to have an impact on the friction coupling (36), by which pressure is created in a pressure chamber (4) when there is a differential speed between the gear housing (27) and the drive shaft (30). In order to achieve quick regulation and adaptation of the characteristics, a first and second opening (9, 10) are connected by means of a first and second rotating insertion (13, 14), and a first and second regulating control valve (15, 16) are connected with the reservoir (8), by which the first and the second control valves (15, 16) are formed as regulating throttle valves, so that independent of the direction of the differential speed, it can be controlled on the respective supply side as well as on the discharge side of the displacement machine.

  • Patent number: 6440027
Abstract: The invention relates to a speed difference dependent hydraulic coupling, consisting of rotating drive casing (2), a hydrostatic displacement machine (7) disposed therein, an output shaft (3) and a friction coupling (6) for connecting the output shaft (3) to the drive casing (2), wherein pressure is built up in a pressure chamber (26; 85) when a different speed emerges between the drive casing and the output shaft, said pressure impinging upon the friction clutch (6). In order to more accurately compensate for temperature-dependent fluctuations in viscosity, a throttle valve (33) is provided that is formed by a valve body (48) guided in a valve chamber (4) and supported on an element whose length (47) depends upon the temperature, said body having a control edge (51) cooperating with a control port (55) of the valve chamber (40), wherein the control port (55) produces the connection between the pressure chamber (26; 85) and the chamber with the lower pressure.
