Abstract: An explosive matrix assembly is provided in which a single detonating cord is configured into a first set of at least five parallel sets of paired portions lying in the same plane, with adjacent parallel pairs being spaced about two inches apart. The detonating cord is further configured so that there is a second set of at least five more parallel portions that are substantially orthogonal to the first set and that lie on top of the first set. Finally, the detonating cord is further configured so that there is a pair of portions that operably secure the matrix to an appropriate explosive initiator.

Abstract: A system for controlling liquid flow from an inlet into a tank comprising a normally closed poppet valve controlled by dual pressure chambers each containing a diaphragm movable by the pressure of the liquid in the inlet to cause the valve to close. Pressure against the diaphragms is relieved by bleed passages extending from the chambers which are closed by dual solenoid operated closing mechanisms. Actuation of either one or both of the mechanisms can open the bleed passages.

Abstract: Apparatus to reduce the degree of contamination in front of a solid propellant rocket motor following actuation of thrust termination devices. By erecting a debris catcher over the ports through which the thrust termination contamimates pass, a few large particles are permitted to flow outwardly from the catcher into the atmosphere immediately after thrust termination, while smaller particles such as might cause interference with radar observation of the rocket motor are trapped into close confinement with the casing of the spent rocket motor.
