Abstract: A propeller puller has a central body section with outward fins. Chains are connected to the fins and engage about blades on the propeller, and a push member within the central body section is forced against the mounting shaft of the propeller to extract the propeller from the shaft.
Abstract: An outboard motor repair stand has a base with a vertical standard assembly of variable height. At the upper end of the standard a main cross shaft has an offset bar fixed to one end, and a worm gear assembly at the opposite end. A saddle is secured to the offset bar in such manner that a heavy motor or the like attached thereto serves to counterbalance the assembly in co-operation with the mechanical advantage of the worm gear assembly. The handle for the worm gear assembly is located above the housing. The gear shaft has a releasable lock mechanism thereon.
Abstract: A dock fender for application to an impact deck with a top and a side has an upper wall attached to the top and a fender portion. An internal lip and a base contact the side, and the fender defines a flexation chamber.
Abstract: A piling fender is formed of non-rigid materials and has an inner face shaped for engagement against the piling and an opposite outwardly extended crown. A bore is formed within the fender behind the crown to permit compression. Outwardly extended wing flaps have projecting corners and the outer surface of the fender is concave between the crown and the projecting corners. Fasteners are extended through the wing flaps between the crown and the projecting corners.
Abstract: A ski position simulator for use in photography and the like to enable a subject to assume and maintain position like that of a jumping skier has an elevated support. Prongs extended from the support are joined by cross plate, and skis are fixedly secured to the cross plate. A rest boom is pivotly connected to the cross plate, and carries a rest plate on which the subject leans to assume said position.
Abstract: A cleat for multiple point attachment has mounting bases with spaced apart pedestals supporting a main body. The main body includes a central section, and inner and outer wing sections, the main body being of gull wing form. Projecting upwardly from the gull wing main body is an annular peg. Multiple line attachments are facilitated by this arrangement.
Abstract: A frame supports a burner box incorporating heating means and having a liquid filled boiler section thereabove. The frame further has an overhead beam with a movable trolley from which a mesh cooker is suspended for immersion into the heated liquid and for removal therefrom. The apparatus is preferably mobile and is supplied with ground wheels and stabilizing means.
Abstract: A length of insulation material is wrapped about an article to be insulated. A layer of fabric is affixed to the insulation material, one end of the fabric being of a length to overlap the opposite end thereof. Fastening means on the overlapped ends of the fabric provide a secure connection of the fabric about the insulation material.
Abstract: An improved free-point measuring system for indicating whether a pipe in a borehole is free or stuck at various locations within the borehole is disclosed. The system employs an improved free-point tool in which is mounted a variable resistor having a wiper arm adapted to be displaced with a movement of the pipe. Displacement of the wiper arm causes a change in the resistance of the variable resistor, and this change is detected by a surface unit provided with balancing and calibrating resistors.
Abstract: A container is mounted in an air duct, the container having an open top and adjustable opening means on the opposite side. An air dispersible substance is placed in the container and is released into the air stream of the duct according to the degree of opening of the opening means.
