    Abstract: A mounting strip with carpet gripping means for relocatable partition walls is disclosed. Said mounting strip comprises a central portion having a generally rectangular configuration, support shelves integral with said central portion and extending outwardly from marginal edges thereof, a multiplicity of barbs extending downwardly from said mounting strip, locating tabs extending upwardly from said central portion along said marginal edges defining an accommodating path for floor runners therebetween. Said mounting strip is capable of gripping a carpet at said barbs and adapted to support wall panels along said support shelves and accommodate floor runners between said locating tabs. Said mounting strip is removable without harmfully affecting a carpet to permit relocation of a movable partition wall construction mountable thereon.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatically placing large plastic lids onto containers. Lids 24 are dispensed individually from magazine 11 onto slide 33. Each dispensed lid is individually retained at the bottom of the slide 33 for pickup by a container 41. The lid is urged onto the container by a pivoted roller 47 and further leveled by a roller 58 which is extended twice by a pneumatic piston to first contact a leading edge of the lid and to secondly contact a trailing edge of the lid. Thereafter a pneumatically operated lid securement means 61 comprising a convex plate 70' burps the air from beneath the lid and fully seats the lid on the container. The apparatus has various sensing means for sensing the depletion of lids from magazine 11, for sensing that a lid has been dispensed onto slide 33 and for sensing a container at the capping station. The sensing means control the various operations of the machine in proper sequence.

    Abstract: Blocks or panels 10, more especially of porous or cellular structure, are faced with a fabric or web inorganic fibres, preferably in the form of glass fibre tissue, bonded to the block or panel by a composition 14 of thermosetting condensation polymer and gypsum, preferably in a ratio between 1:1.6 and 1:4.0. The amount of the composition is preferably such as to provide a film of minimal thickness over the surface of the fabric or web, corresponding to a glass: resin plus gypsum proportion of 8 to 25%. Such coatings when applied to foamed plastics, chip-board or glass fibre panels provide boards suitable for ceilings or partitions and having ample strength and flame resistance. The blocks or panels may be made continuously by applying fibrous tissues, impregnated with a fluid mixture of plaster and resin by roller spreaders, to the face of panel elements supported between release sheets, for example of polypropylene. Pressure may be applied and maintained, if desired, until the fluid mixture has set.

    Abstract: A method for making a unitized, ready-to-install, mobile home ceiling structure is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of arranging a plurality of rectangular panels on a tunnel jig. A roof frame structure is then positioned and fastened on the back face surfaces of the panels by means of fasteners and adhesive along the bottom chords of intermediate roof frame truss members. The method additionally includes the step of fastening roof frame perimeter side edge rails and outer truss members to the panel arrangement perimeter by means of fasteners driven upwardly through the front face surface of the panels to extend through the panels and penetrate the side edges rails and outer truss members. The method includes the step of transporting the mobile home ceiling structure from the tunnel jig in ready-to-install condition wherein the setup time of the adhesive material does not restrict moving the unit.

    Abstract: A homogeneous, free-flowing urea containing composition which has particular utility as an animal feed supplement or a fertilizer material and an improved process for preparing same are disclosed. In the process urea and particular forms of calcium sulphate are intimately mixed, optionally with calcium phosphate and one or more desired additives, and pelletized or granulated as by compression compaction. In one embodiment, micronutrients are blended into the urea-calcium sulphate mixture before compaction and the granules so produced may be subsequently utilized as a fertilizer supplement or in combination with primary nutrients as a complete fertilizer. In a second embodiment, the urea-calcium sulphate constitute an animal feed supplement to be blended with other, non-hygroscopic, nutrients such as calcium phosphate and the like in forming a silage or complete animal feed.

    Abstract: Electrical power, instrument and communication cables constructed with combustible coverings can provide a pathway by which fire might spread. Cable fires within a room or compartment can be arrested by the construction of a properly designed "fire break" placed periodically along a cable run; and cable fire spread between rooms can be arrested by a properly placed "fire stop". Cable runs generally include a cable tray or raceway to contain the cables. An effective fire barrier, e.g., "fire break" or "fire stop" may be constructed in such a cable tray or raceway by filling a portion of the tray or raceway with a gypsum composition comprising gypsum plaster, an inert filler mixture of diatomaceous earth and lightweight expanded aggregate, and very small amounts of glycerin, boric acid and a corrosion inhibitor such as a boron nitride, boron nitrile or mixture of such boron compounds.

    Abstract: A fiber-reinforced cementitious sheet is formed by first co-mixing in an air current reinforcing fibers such as glass fibers, and cementitious mineral materials in finely particulate form such as calcium sulfate hemihydrate, both in substantially dry form, depositing the mixture on a moving foraminous surface by means of the air current to form a sheet, applying water as by spraying in at least an amount which is stoichiometrically sufficiently to hydrate the calcium sulfate hemihydrate to the dihydrate form and to provide the necessary degree of plasticity to the mixture, densifying the sheet by compression, and setting and drying the sheet. A pair of sheets may be utilized as face sheets and, prior to setting, combined with a core formed of for example a calcium sulfate hemihydrate slurry, and the sheets and core then set and dried to form a paper-free gypsum board having excellent strength, surface hardness, and fire-resistant properties.

The attachment system has attachment clips positioned at said intersection points interconnecting cross-runners and main-runners. The attachment clips being integrally constructed from light-gauge steel and having a box-like configuration with two opposing vertical walls and opposing upper and lower horizontal walls wherein the upper wall centrally separates into halves. The upper wall halves include upwardly extending tabs with tab connecting means releasably connectiing both halves. The opposing vertical walls of the attachment clip each having an oppositely extending cross-runner attachment flange.
