  • Patent number: 7400069
Abstract: A generator for producing electric power includes a drive mechanism, such as a drive motor, having a rotor supported for rotation about an axis. A first generator magnet driveable by the rotor includes a reference pole facing in a first direction. A second generator magnet driveable by the rotor includes a pole of opposite polarity from the reference pole located near the reference pole and facing in the first direction. The first and second generator magnets produce a magnetic field whose flux extends between the reference pole of the first generator magnet and opposite pole of the second generator magnet. A stator includes an electrical conductor winding located adjacent the first and second magnets such that the magnetic field repetitively intersects the winding as the rotor driveably rotates.

  • Patent number: 7156550
Abstract: Apparatus according to this invention for plasticating a resin polymer, especially polypropylene, includes a barrel having an inlet, outlet, and inner surface. A screw, located within and closely spaced from the inner surface of the barrel, has a longitudinal axis extending from the inlet toward the outlet, and includes length sections arranged in a series along the axis. The screw includes a core and a main flight located on and projecting radially from the core, extending in a helix along the axis, and having a push side and a trailing side. The screw sections include a feed section, a transition section following the feed section, a metering section following the transition section, and a barrier melting section following the metering section.

  • Patent number: 7151332
Abstract: A motor includes a rotor supported for rotation about an axis, at least one pair of rotor magnets spaced angularly about the axis and supported on the rotor, at least one reciprocating magnet, and an actuator for moving the reciprocating magnet cyclically toward and away from the pair of rotor magnets, and consequently rotating the rotor magnets relative to the reciprocating magnet.

  • Patent number: 6193063
Abstract: A golf club protective cover which provides a semi-rigid upper enclosure to protect the club head and a sock-like lower enclosure attached to the upper enclosure for protection of the club shaft. The upper enclosure is formed as a semi-rigid cylinder and has an elongated opening in the side wall of the upper enclosure so that the club may be inserted into the cover from the top through the elongated opening or through the bottom of the lower enclosure in a conventional manner.

  • Patent number: 6079177
Abstract: A ceiling panel assembly is provided which connects directly to ceiling joists. The assembly has a plurality of ceiling panels and connecting hardware. Each ceiling panel has at least two oppositely disposed edge regions forming recesses. The edge regions of adjacently assembled ceiling panels define grooves with their respective recesses. The connecting hardware is adapted to connect each ceiling panel in the defined grooves directly to the ceiling joist.

  • Patent number: 6007271
Abstract: A mat is used as a ground engagement platform for supporting heavy equipment or as a road surface for supporting vehicular traffic. The use is intended to be temporary, with the mats being reusable. The mat, in its basic construction, includes a flat plate-like structure having a thickness and planar extent and an opening defined in the flat plate-like structure which extends in the thickness direction and is dimensioned to receive a lifting device for lifting and transporting the mat.

  • Patent number: 5971436
Abstract: The invention relates to an information display device which attaches to a tubular conduit. The tubular conduit has a longitudinal axis for transporting liquids. A display member having lateral and vertical edges and a display area for displaying information is attached to said tubular conduit by a tubular portion having a longitudinal vertical axis substantially parallel with the vertical edge of the display member. The attachment mechanism has an opening in the exterior wall along said longitudinal axis for inserting the tubular conduit therein. The display area is used for recording information. An extension member extends beyond the display area wrapping around the attachment tubular conduit for securing said information display device to said tubular conduit.
