Abstract: The present Invention is an apparatus for displaying a medallion in an item of memorabilia, such as a hockey puck or a model of a tire. A medallion is selectably retained by a cavity defined by the item of memorabilia. A light-emitting capacitor is disposed either in front of or behind the medallion, illuminating the surface of the medallion.

Abstract: The Invention is a tray for serving a beverage in a nightclub or tavern. A tray body defines a reservoir adapted to contain a beverage. A reservoir aperture communicates through the tray body and is controlled by a valve. A dispensing opening is defined by the bottom side of the tray body and aligns the drinking vessel with the reservoir aperture. The valve is actuated when a drinking vessel is placed in engagement with the dispensing opening. A plurality of drinking vessel receptacles located on the top side of the tray are adapted to support drinking vessels.
Abstract: The Invention is a swimming machine operated by a hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor. A first and a second tubular rail support the swimming machine in a swimming pool and are configured to resemble a swimming pool ladder and thus disguise the swimming machine. The configuration of the tubular rails substantially prevents use of the swimming machine as a ladder. A radio-operated remote control proportional relief valve selectably bleeds hydraulic fluid from the high pressure side to the low pressure side of the hydraulic pump, allowing remote control of the velocity of water in the pool.

Abstract: The Invention is a memorabilia apparatus. Indicia are imprinted on a medallion using convention minting technology. An ice hockey puck or a model of a tire has a cavity adapted to receive and to support the medallion for display. The cavity of the puck or model of a tire exerts a pre-selected force upon the medallion over a pre-selected area, holding the medallion in place during handling while allowing a collector to release the medallion from the puck or model of the tire. Alternatively, resilient or spring retaining members releasably engage the puck or model of the tire and the medallion.

Abstract: A three-wire apparatus for measuring an external thread features a single length of wire having a first bend and a second bend, which first and second bend divide the single length of wire into first, second and third wire portions. The first, second and third wire portions engage an external thread and are measured using a micrometer or other measuring device. The single length of wire defines an open end for engaging the first, second and third wire portions with the external thread.

Abstract: The Invention is a message board having a base, a frame and a hinge connecting the frame and base. The frame has an open position and a closed position and defines a frame opening. A planar member releasably retains an artwork within the frame such that the artwork is displayed through the frame opening when the frame is in the closed position. An erasable writing surface is defined by the planar member and is displayed when the frame is in the open position.

Abstract: The Invention is an apparatus for squaring a spindle of a machine tool with a work holding surface. A shank is adapted to be connected to the spindle. The shank has a shank axis and is attached to a body. The body has a lower side from which depends a reference point. The reference point defines a measurement plane perpendicular to the shank axis. A first gauge having a spaced-apart relation to the reference point has a range of measurement that intersects the measurement plane. The range of measurement falls on a measurement axis parallel to the shank axis.
Abstract: An apparatus and method of encoding and communicating symbols is provided. A user encodes a symbol using a sliding motion of a fingertip in relation to a proximity and touch-detecting glance pad. The user imagines a polygon on the surface of the pad. The user makes an encoding touch generally coextensive with one of the sides of the polygon in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The glance pad detects the motion and infers the intent of the user, assigning a symbol to the encoding touch.
Abstract: The Invention is a window blind with an integral, adjustable light shelf to control the entry of light into a room through a window. The blind may be a roller blind or any other suitable blind and controls entry of light through a lower portion of the window. The light shelf controls entry of light through an upper portion of the window and may be adjusted to reflect incident sunlight onto the ceiling of the room to provide indirect lighting to the room. The light shelf may be adjusted to substantially or partially exclude light from the room.
Abstract: The Invention is an item of sports memorabilia. Indicia are imprinted on a medallion using convention minting technology. An ice hockey puck has a cavity adapted to receive and to support the medallion for display. The cavity of the puck exerts a pre-selected force upon the medallion over a pre-selected area, holding the medallion in place during handling while allowing a collector to release the medallion from the puck. Alternatively, resilient or spring retaining members releasably engage the puck and the medallion.

Abstract: The Invention is a modular, flexible automobile turntable for installation on an uneven surface such as a residential driveway. A flexible track conforms to the surface of the driveway. A turntable deck is mounted for rotation on the track, the deck comprising a central disk driven by a hydraulic gear motor and a plurality of flexible petals extending radially from the center disk.
Abstract: The invention is a gauge and method for measuring any circular object, but is most useful as a precision thread gauge for objects having either external or internal threads. A fixed gauge roll is supported in a stationary position. A first and second gauge rolls are supported so that the first and second gauge rolls simultaneously move with respect to the fixed gauge roll. The fixed gauge roll, first and second gauge roll together form a triangle. The interior angles of the triangle remain unchanged for every position of the three gauge rolls.
