  • Patent number: 7104157
Abstract: The motorcycle footrest includes a mounting block and a footrest plate. The mounting block is clamped to a crash bar secured to a motorcycle frame. A pivot pin pivotally connects an end of the footrest plate to the mounting block for pivotal movement about a pivot pin bore axis that extends upwardly and forwardly at an angle of 45° from a horizontal plane. The footrest plate has a first footrest surface and a second footrest surface that are parallel to each other and face in opposite directions. Stop surfaces on the mounting block limit pivotal movement of the footrest plate when the first footrest surface is in a use position and when the second footrest surface is in a use position. At least one aperture passes through the footrest plane and intersects the first and second footrest surfaces. An aperture insert is mounted in the aperture.

  • Patent number: 7096802
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supplying liquid anhydrous ammonia to a pump or other flow control system whereby a separation chamber removes vapor generated by friction in the flow path from a storage tank containing saturated anhydrous ammonia. Additionally, liquid ammonia in the separation chamber creates a static head pressure. The difference in height between the inlet near the top of the separation chamber and the outlet at the bottom causes the static head pressure. The static head assures pure liquid at the bottom since absolute pressure exceeds saturation pressure. As a result, the feed stream to the pump or other flow control system is free of ammonia vapor.

  • Patent number: 7096809
Abstract: The watercraft dry storage assembly includes a cylindrical port bladder and a cylindrical starboard bladder. Both bladders are made from sheet material with a substantially non-stretchable polyester or nylon scrim encased in a poly vinyl chloride plastic, a urethane plastic or a mixture of poly-vinyl chloride and urethane. The bladders are attached to each other. A blower system blows air into the bladders to lift a boat hull out of the water. The blower system also sucks air out of the bladders to lower the boat into the water. A guide system indicates the location of the bladders under the water and guides the bladders as they are inflated. One or more envelopes with open tops are attached to the bladders if required and receive rudders, keels and propellers as they are raised by the bladders. After the open tops are raised above the water, water in the envelopes are pumped out by a pump.

  • Patent number: 4907653
Abstract: A tractor implement draft force control system in which desired and actual implement draft force values are compared to provide a draft force error signal. The system is responsive to the error signal to control the working depth and hence the draft force of the implement. A deadband operates on the error signal to render error signals within the deadband ineffective to control the working depth of the implement and a deadband control means adjusts the width of the deadband so that the deadband width is maintained dependent on components of the error signal above a predetermined frequency. Thus the system can be arranged not to respond to high frequency spurious components of the draft force signal but is able to respond to the lower frequency components of this signal which are representative of the true draft force variations.

  • Patent number: 4907493
Abstract: A system for the control of a fluid flow control valve which controls the supply of fluid to an actuator to control the movement of a component such as a tractor implement hitch in response to a selected operating parameter such as hitch position or draft force. The system enables the desired value of the selected parameter to be set and this desired value is compared with the actual sensed value of the parameter to provide a parameter error signal. A start-up control function is provided to improve the initial speed of response of the system. The start-up control function is arranged on each detection of a parameter error signal to apply a start-up signal to the valve to initiate movement of the component and, if no movement results, to increase the start-up signal until movement of the component is detected whereupon the increase in the start-up signal is stopped and the magnitude of the signal applied to the valve is dependent on the parameter error signal so as to tend to reduce the error signal to zero.

  • Patent number: 4880269
Abstract: A vehicle cab 10 with a window aperture 11 closed by a pivotable glazing panel 12. The window aperture is of vertically tapering form such that the width `W` of the lower regions of the aperture is less than higher regions of the aperture and the glazing panel 12 is of a similar vertically tapering form. A glazing panel mounting structure 13 allows the glazing panel to be moved from a generally upright closed position to a generally horizontal open position 12' by raising the panel in a vertical sense so that the lower narrower portion of the panel is in alignment with a wider higher portion of the aperture and then pivoting the lower narrower portion of the glazing panel about a first generally horizontal axis 21 through the wider higher portion of the aperture to its generally horizontal open position.

  • Patent number: 4665929
Abstract: An axial flow combine harvester feed plate for directing crop material from a conveyor into the lower forward portion of an axial flow rotor housing. The feed plate includes surfaces that reduce the overall width of a mat of crop material entering the rotor housing and a surface that guides material upwardly and rearwardly. The surface of the feed plate that guides crop material upwardly and rearwardly directs the mat of crop material into the rotor housing hear the front of the axial flow rotor on one side of the rotor housing. On the other side of the rotor housing, crop material enters the housing some distance rearwardly from the front of the axial flow rotor. This results in a band of crop material engaging the rotor in the rotor housing.

  • Patent number: 4657029
Abstract: The stone trap for a combine harvester 10 includes an elevator to the cylinder 26, a beater assembly 40 rotatably mounted in the elevator and an opening 72 in the floor 38 of the elevator below the opening 72. A box 78 is mounted under the floor 38 to receive material that passes through the opening. Spring steel fingers 94 are bolted to the floor 38 at the forward edge 74 of the opening 72. The free ends of the fingers extend across the opening 72. The upper portion 104 of the rear wall 82 is a support to limit vertical movement of the free ends of the spring steel fingers 94. In operation, the free ends of the spring steel fingers 94 move to the side for the passage of stones driven into the box 78 by the beater assembly 40 and then spring back to hold stones in the box 78.

  • Patent number: 4615233
Abstract: A transmission ratio selector mechanism having an upper manually operable gear lever (120) which is mounted (139, 250) intermediate its ends for pivoting about two perpendicular axes and a lower lever member (134) which is pivoted in a fixed mount (136) at its lower end (135) and is connected at its upper end (137) with the lower end (138) of the gear lever (120). The lower lever (134) is interconnected (133) intermediate its ends with a ratio selector shaft (112) whose longitudinal axis passes through the fixed mount (136). Pivoting of the gear lever (120) about one of the perpendicular axis causes axial displacement (W1, W2) of the selector shaft (112) in a direction parallel to its longitudinal axis and pivoting of the gear lever about the other perpendicular axis causes turning of the selector shaft about its longitudinal axis to move one or more ratio selector forks (101, 102).
