  • Patent number: 6986541
Abstract: The present invention is an integrated storage compartment for a truck bed liner. A divider panel and an enclosure panel are formed by either molding or cutting slits on three sides of the liner bottom or rear wall, respectively. The fourth sideforms a living hinge. The living hinge allows the unattached portion of the truck bed liner bottom to move freely about the hinge. The side walls of the truck bed liner include receiving channels into which the divider and enclosure panels are locked into place. The side walls also have a closure means which comprise horizontal protrusions that form a closure channel to receive the enclosure panel. Thus, an operator can position the divider panel to a 90 position with respect to the bottom and lock it into the receiving channels found on the side walls. The enclosure panel is rotated to a 90 position with respect to a base panel and is inserted into the closure means to form, in conjunction with the divider panel, an enclosed trunk storage compartment.

  • Patent number: 6121765
Abstract: A isolated power supply for protecting electrical devices from transient voltages and currents is disclosed. Specifically, the filter has a toroid and resistor which are used in conjunction with an isolator transformer. The transformer's secondary windings are coupled to the electrical load sought to be isolated. The primary windings of the transformer are tied to an alternating current source with an earth ground lead. The primary shield lead of the transformer is tied to the earth ground lead. The secondary shield lead of the transformer is also tied to the earth ground. A toroid inductor and resistor in parallel are coupled between the secondary neutral lead and the secondary ground lead to shunt off current or voltage spikes. The earth ground is part of a chassis which prevents spark jump insuring the isolation of the power source. The isolator thus provides equal voltage potential between the secondary lead and the primary earth ground at frequencies of less than 1 kHz.

  • Patent number: 6009649
Abstract: A promotional amusement device including a handle element which includes a grip portion at its lower end, and a spherical globe portion at the upper end. A series of three telescopically arranged tubular members are arranged to be nestled within the handle member, and including a spring member associated with the tubular members in order to extend the tubular members into a fully extended position. A transparent stretchable boot is provided and arranged to be nested within the upper spherical globe portion of the handle, and includes a top cap mounted on the inner most tubular member and which also provides a rest point for the transparent stretchable boot. Upon release of the spring member, the tubular members are fully extended to the open position and carry with it the transparent stretchable boot to its fully extended position. The boot, spherical globe portion and handle member are all adapted to carry promotional indicia thereon which are displayed when the boot is fully extended by the tubular members.

  • Patent number: 5920996
Abstract: The above objects and advantages are provided for in improved archery bow sight assembly which provides a floating two-pin sight system for sighting a target. According to the invention, a sight assembly body having a forward portion and rear portion is attached directly to the bow. Pivotally attached to the front portion is a floating sight pin. Pivotally attached to the rear portion is a floating peep sight. Movement of the sight pin and peep sight is caused by a sight adjustment lever. Gear teeth on the sight adjustment lever are meshingly engaged with gear teeth on the peep sight arm. The gear teeth of the adjustment lever are indirectly engaged with the sight pin arm via idler gears. This arrangement allows the peep sight and sight pin to move in the same direction as the sight adjustment lever is manipulated.

  • Patent number: 5916283
Abstract: An improved key ring lock assembly including a lock mechanism having an open position and a locked position which is formed by at least a lock barrel, a lock cylinder fitted within the lock barrel, the lock cylinder having a front key way and a lock mechanism contained within the lock cylinder operable by an appropriate key. The lock cylinder terminates in a lock shaft at the back end which is rotatable in response to the manipulation of the lock mechanism via the key. A lock collar is contained within the lock barrel immediately rearward of the lock cylinder and includes a lock shaft receiving aperture to receive the lock shaft and be operable in response to the rotatable movement of the lock mechanism. The lock collar includes an elongate stud mounted on the back end which includes a pair of opposed pin receiving channels formed therein. The lock barrel includes a locking ledge circumferentially positioned along the inner wall and adjacent the back end thereof.

  • Patent number: 5897027
Abstract: There is disclosed a novelty head formed of a moldable material suitable for mounting and seatment upon a squirt trigger type bottle of the type including a bottle having a neck and a cap fitted onto the neck, and a squirt trigger assembly mounted onto the cap which includes a reciprocating trigger and a squirt nozzle positioned above the reciprocating trigger. The novelty head is three-dimensional and is formed of a substantially moldable material, the head defining a hollow chamber for accommodating the squirt trigger assembly therein. The lower portion of the head includes a first opening which is substantially key-hole shaped, consisting of a circular opening portion and having a substantially rectangular opening extending laterally from said circular opening, and a second opening spaced upwardly from the first opening.

  • Patent number: 5851106
Abstract: There is disclosed an elongate style portable fan device having an elongate body portion including a fan device mounted on the top end of the body portion. The elongate body portion is designed to lay flat on an underlying flat surface in a manner which maintains the fan device portion at an angle of approximately 30 degrees from the central horizontal axis of the elongate body portion such that the fan blades of the fan device are free to rotate above the underlying flat surface when in the fan activated mode. The elongate body portion includes stop means for providing a resting stop position for the elongate body portion in order to permit the fan blades of the fan device to rotate freely when in the resting position and in the fan activation mode while laying on a flat underlying surface. Switch means is provided to the device for alternating between a fan activation and a fan deactivation mode.

  • Patent number: 5821864
Abstract: A wireless interface probe having a transmitter, a signal transport/measuring device, and a receiver as provided. The transmitter has two sensors: a liquid level sensor and a water level sensor. The liquid level sensor determines the boundary between gaseous and liquid media. The water level sensor detects the presence of conductive liquid such as water. Signals generated by the transmitter sensors are transported inductively to the receiver via the signal transport/measuring device. The signal transport/measuring device is a standard metallic measuring tape which affixes to the transmitter via metallic fasteners. The receiver decodes the signals generated by the transmitter and creates an audio and visual reading output. The output reading indicates to the operator the level of the free-phase hydrocarbons and the level of the water. The difference between the two levels is the thickness of the hydrocarbons, which can be determined by using the measuring tape.

  • Patent number: 5816357
Abstract: An improved rear wheel suspension device for motorcycles is provided. A rectangular open-ended tracking assembly is mounted to the lower aspect of a motorcycle frame or motorcycle engine. The side walls of the tracking assembly have elongated slots. A shock absorber shaft is passed through the open end of the tracking assembly, and two elongated pull rods having bolt eyes at their opposite ends are placed against the exterior of the tracking assembly side walls. The pull rods and shock absorber shaft are movably fixed to the tracking assembly by placing a bolt through the tracking assembly slots. The opposite end of the shock absorber is mounted to a downwardly reflecting bracket fixed to the bottom of the motorcycle frame at predetermined distance from the tracking assembly. The opposite ends of both pull rods are then mounted to the downwardly reflecting vertical portion of an essentially "T"-shaped swing arm.

  • Patent number: 5466152
Abstract: A dental articulation apparatus for creating a pinned model of a patient's mandibular and maxillary dental arches. The apparatus permits the simultaneous relation and construction of pinned, segmental models of the maxillary and mandibular dental arches and allows the model, die, and articulation to be accomplished in a single pouring. The articulator includes recessed maxillary and mandibular tray support members each containing a plurality of indexing holes into which indexing pins can be inserted. A negative dental impression is then filled with a casting material, or alternatively, the support members are filled with a casting material, and the support members and negative impression material are then joined together such that the indexing pins protrude through and into the casting material.
