Control means acts when the movable grid arrives at either a warm or a cool limiting position. The arrival at a limiting position prepares said moving means for movement to the other limiting position when a later thermostat signal is received.

Abstract: A skimmer for operating in a water environment provides a conveyor with transverse apertures and a sloping upwardly travelling lower flight in a trough shaped guide, for a lower extent and, over an upper extent beyond said guide and designed to move material in said upper extent and there to detach material in said apertures.

There is provided a row of LED's located forwardly of the array and out of the normal viewing path located to illuminate the disks of said array. Masking means prevents direct illumination from said LED's being visible in the viewing direction.

Abstract: A magnetic disk to selectively display opposite colored sides is constructed by providing upper, lower and middle tape layers. The middle layer is punched to provide a series of magnet receptacles when the upper and lower layers are added. The lower layer is added to the middle layer and the magnet inserted. The upper layer is applied and the magnet is magnetized before individual disk elements are detached from the tape. The upper layer may be constructed from a plurality of sub layers. The sub layers may be combined in a separate step before the upper layer is applied to the middle. The upper tape may be applied to the middle by pressure sensitive adhesive. The upper tape sub layers may be an outer clear layer and an inner colored layer, which clear layer may be treated for ultra violet filtering and to provide a matte finish.

The shutter is shaped to provide a panel which blocks the cone in the viewing direction in the OFF position. The shutter is shaped to define, in an ON position, a central opening for passage of the cone of light in the viewing direction. Rotation between ON and the OFF positions is about 90.degree.. An Electromagnetic drive is used to drive the shutter between the ON and OFF positions. The fibre is centrally located relative to the fibre mount. A plurality of shutters, each with its own drive may be arranged in line, in a single strip module.

Flexible coaxial leads allow any port to be connected to selected one of a number of stations. The stations may be composed of a horizontal flexible lead and a vertical terminal for the circuit board. The position of the station may vary within a preset tolerance to facilitate connection to the circuit board. End sections may be provided at the ports and provided with means for separating or combining the RF and AC signals. A tray for seating in the housing and for receiving the circuit board may be shaped to ground the outer conductor from a station and forms also the ground for the circuit board.

Abstract: A display device has lever mounted display members with their members on one end movable from exposed to eclipsed position to provide a variable display and permanent magnets on the other end to provide for control of the lever by magnetizable cores located rearwardly thereof. A housing structure accurately mounts both a frame which holds the levers and a rear face which holds the cores in three dimensions contributing to the precision of the magnetic control. The cores are mounted projecting from the rear wall of the housing. The forward ends of the cores may be accurately located again contributing to the precision of the magnetic control. The improvement of the magnetic coil means the energizing coils for the windings must be made smaller and for this and other reasons the device may be made smaller from front to back.
