  • Patent number: 7103600
Abstract: The invention provides systems, methods and software for creating or maintaining distributed transparent persistence of complex data objects and associated data stores. In one aspect, the invention also relates to an application programming object capable of creating or maintaining distributed transparent persistence of data objects or data object graphs without the necessity of inserting any byte codes or modification of the object graph. Virtually any java object or object praph can be transparently persisted. Further, copies of a data graph or of a portion of the data graph can be automatically reconciled and changes persisted without any persistence coding in the object model.

  • Patent number: 6999956
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for dynamic object-driven database manipulation and mapping system which relates in general to correlating or translating one type of database to another type of database or to an object programming application. Correlating or translating involves relational to object translation, object to object translation, relational to relational, or a combination of the above. Thus, the present invention is directed to dynamic mapping of databases to selected objects. Also provided are systems and methods that optionally include caching components, security features, data migration facilities, and components for reading, writing, interpreting and manipulating XML and XMI data files.

  • Patent number: 6392061
Abstract: This invention relates to novel processes for making (2S, 3S, 5S) oxetanone derivative lipase inhibitor compounds and intermediates therefor, which processes for producing such derivatives that are useful as lipase inhibitors are capable of being scaled to commercial quantities. Further the invention relates to processes for producing salts and for producing pharmaceutical compositions compounds comprising at least one such oxetanone derivative or salt, as well as methods for using such compounds and compositions for inhibiting lipases.

  • Patent number: 6288549
Abstract: A battery bank in an enclosed battery compartment is provided with subsidiary connectors that run from the battery compartment to an external test panel. Subsidiary connectors from each of the batteries connect to test jacks on the test panel so that each battery can be individually tested by an external test device without exposing the operator to danger by opening the battery compartment doors. Besides increased safety, the benefit is a faster, more convenient test process that facilitates greater timeliness in testing and maintenance, an especially important feature in an uninterruptible power supply.

  • Patent number: 6216894
Abstract: A sectional system for constructing newspaper and other periodical stands in a variety of different configurations. The system includes a plurality of generally U-shaped sections that are stackable upon each other. The sections are preferably formed of spin-molded plastic and include a base section, a shelf section and a display section. The shelf section comprises a horizontal display section while the display section comprises an angled display section.

  • Patent number: 6206168
Abstract: A simplified, compact coin-controlled coin latch unit includes a latching arm and a deactivating arm, arranged on the same pivot. The operation of the deactivating arm, which is controlled by the opening and closing of the door latched by the latch unit, operates a magnetic switch which deactives the solenoid which controls the latching arm. The deactivating arm also controls a hinged flap which forms part of a temporary coin receptacle. When the door opens, the deactivating arm is released, deactivating the solenoid and releasing the hinged flap to permit coins to fall into a chute to a permanent coin receptacle. When the door is closed, the deactivating arm is moved to it's original point, closing the hinged flap and activating the magnetic switch to close, thereby permitting reactivation of the solenoid circuit, in response to a coin detecting device.
