Abstract: A heavy duty, locked, tubular quick coupling used for coupling oil and gas well tubing or pipe joints, thus allowing long strings of pipe and tube joints subsequently connected to at least one such quick coupled joint to be lifted as a string, thereby applying tensile loading to the quick coupled joints. Both interior and exterior locking arrangements for the locked quick coupling are disclosed which utilize twist-locking elements secured in position by a locking washer and cap nut. Arrangements are also disclosed illustrating how the locking couplings are used for fast setup of wire-line riser strings utilizing multiple specialty subs and valve assemblies.
Abstract: A quick-coupling union for oil and gas tubular members that provides a more stable joint connection, a redundant seal arrangement, and a method for pressure testing the seals. The union and sealing arrangement includes an elongated tubular receiving member, further including a central longitudinal cavity therein for receiving an elongated tubular insertion member and an external port in communication with the cavity, at least two sealing members located within the cavity defined by the insertion and receiving members and the dual seals being capable of providing a positive seal between the insertion member and the receiving member the union, further including a nut slidable upon the insertion member for threadably locking the insertion member relative to the receiving member, the sealing members being spaced apart in a manner whereby the external port is interposed between the dual sealing members when the union is fully engaged, thus defining a means for applying a pressure there upon.
Abstract: A laser alignment tool used in directional drilling operations for aligning, and marking the mule-shoe sub relative to the setting of an adjustable, bent housing, drilling motor assembly. A mark is produced as a result of a laser transmitter, located on the drill motor projecting a light beam upwards externally along the drill string, striking a photosensitive paper target or reflected onto a photosensitive paste or film located on the mule-shoe sub. The mark is then used as a reference point for orienting the internal keyed sleeve of the mule-shoe sub after the laser transmitter has been removed.
Abstract: An improved protective shield for attachment to the A-arms of an ATV for preventing the intrusion of debris that may damage the suspension or CV joint. The improvements enhance the shield's ability to reduce debris build up and to be more easily cleaned by suspending the shield below the suspension members and providing washout and drainage holes.
Abstract: A windshield wiper blade attachment with pressurized inflatable scrubbing member. The scrubbing member includes a sustained fluid release delivery system for dispersing a solvent through a polymer matrix or mixed fiber composite material. The scrubbing member further includes a polymeric abrasive textured surface element that aids in effectively scrubbing the windshield. Pressurization of the scrubber is achieved with fluid from the vehicle pressure washer system. System fluid pressure inflates the member in a manner whereby, when it contacts the windshield, the wiper blade is displaced until such time as the scrubbing member loses sufficient fluid by seepage to allow the wiper blade to again make contact with the windshield.
