Abstract: An inventory use recording system and method having an optical reader module for scanning component bar codes of an inventory batch having serialized bar codes, a controller module for storing at least a first tag representation and a second tag representation where the second tag representation is a tag representation from a next available component in the inventory batch after a predetermined time period where a quantity of the components have been withdrawn from the inventory batch, and a display module for displaying inventory use.
Abstract: A process for extinguishing a fire, using an inert gas in its liquid phase as the fire extinguishing agent. The extinguishing agent must be a clean agent so it must not be electrically conductive and it must not leave any post evaporation residue. The extinguishing agent possesses properties that make the agent the capable of extinguishing fires. Also, the process does not have any effects that are harmful to the environment.
Abstract: A truck mounted particle screener for mounting atop the dump body of a dump truck having a support frame, a screen deck, a plurality of spring assemblies connecting the screen deck to the support frame, and a vibrating mechanism attached to the screen deck for imparting the vibratory motion to the screen deck.
Abstract: A method and device for organizing, storing, instructing, and coordinating the combined use of topical therapeutic agents, including moisturizing agents, for the treatment of respiratory tract disorders.

Abstract: A mounting corner having a top piece and a bottom piece that are sealed together along their coextensive outside edges forming a pocket. A portion of the outside edges of the top piece and the bottom piece are rounded for accepting round-cornered memorabilia. An adhesive layer may be disposed on the outside surface of the bottom piece.
Abstract: A shopping organizer having a base, at least one bar support, a saddle for receiving a bar or handle and a support strap for securing the organizer to the bar or handle. The saddle may be configured into the bottom or into the bar support(s). The organizer further includes at least a pad retaining means and a pen/pencil holder.
Abstract: An aerialift warning system and method for use on aerialift equipment to warn the aerialift operator to fasten his/her safety lanyard and to warn persons within the zone of danger below the aerialift boom/basket of the impending danger posed by the descending boom/basket. The system includes a warning module and a speaker. The warning module includes a driver circuit for receiving a boom movement input signal and for asserting an up motion or down motion signal, and a processing circuit for receiving the up motion and down motion signal. The processing circuit contains an execution program to assert one or more warning messages contained in an audio warning circuit. The asserted one or more messages from the audio warning circuit are sent to a speaker.

Abstract: A sealing apparatus which is disposed between the media side and the bearing side and adapted to hermetically seal members rotating concentrically relative to each other, wherein a passageway having in a U-shaped cross section is formed by an outer shielding member on the media side, an outer shielding member on the bearing side and an inner shielding member, the end portion of which is inserted into the cavity between the outer shielding members. The end portion of the inner shielding member has a T-shape or L-shape. A magnet is arranged at either the inner shielding member or the outer shielding member. A ferrofluid is retained in the cavity by the surrounding magnet. An oil repellent material may be coated on the surface of the inner shielding member except for a portion extending into the cavity and an adhered portion on its inner diameter side.
Abstract: A disposable electrode strip for testing a fluid sample including a laminated strip with a first and second end, a reference electrode embedded in the laminated strip proximate to the first end, at least two working electrodes embedded in the laminated strip proximate to the first end and the reference electrode, an open path for receiving a fluid sample beginning from the first end and being sufficiently long to expose the reference electrode and the working electrodes to the fluid sample, and conductive contacts located at the second end of the laminated strip. The laminated strip has a base layer with a conductive coating, a reagent holding layer, a channel forming layer and a cover. One of the working electrodes contains a reagent substantially similar to the reagent of the reference electrode and a second working electrode contains a reagent having an enzyme.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition and process for producing a chemically stable magnetic fluid comprising a plurality of magnetic particles covered first with a small molecular weight surface modifier, which is a nondispersant and acts as a surfactant-accepting layer, and then with at least one surfactant. The surface modifier/surfactant coated magnetic particles are then suspended in a silicone oil-based, hydrocarbon oil-based or an ester oil-based carrier liquid.
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition and a process for producing a magnetic fluid comprising finely divided magnetic particles covered with at least one surfactant. A fluorocarbon-silane surface modifier is employed which is added to cover the free oxidizable exterior surface of the outer layer of the particles to increase the acid resistance of the colloid.
Abstract: A disposable electrode strip for testing a fluid sample including a laminated strip with a first and second end, a vent, an open path for receiving a fluid sample of less than one microliter beginning from the first end and connecting to the vent, a working electrode, a reference electrode and a pseudo-working electrode embedded in the laminated strip within the open path and proximate to the first end, a reagent matrix coextensive within the open path and covering the three electrodes, and conductive contacts located at the second end of the laminated strip.

Abstract: An electrochemical sensor with a gelled membrane for prolonging the useful life of an ion-selective electrode. The gelled membrane is a hydrophilic membrane having a specially-formulated gel layer coated on one side. The gel-coated side of the gelled membrane is in intimate contact with the ion-selective membrane and separates the ion-selective membrane from the test samples and the calibration and cleaning fluids. The gelled membrane is a semi-permeable barrier which allows passage of the species to be measured while inhibiting the passage of surfactant and proteinaceous material into the polymeric ion-selective membrane.
