Patent number: 6732396Abstract: A self-wringing ratchet mop including an elongated handle, a mop head having mop strands supported on the handle, and a wringing mechanism for wringing the mop strands. The wringing mechanism includes a sleeve attached to the mop strands and supported for longitudinal and rotational movement relative to the handle. The handle includes a first ratchet portion formed by teeth and the sleeve includes a second ratchet portion formed by pawl members for engaging the first ratchet portion to permit the sleeve to rotate in a first direction and prevent rotation in a second, opposite direction. The pawl members are supported on a deformable resilient ring wherein deformation of the ring causes the pawl members to disengage from the first ratchet portion and permit rotation of the sleeve in the second direction.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2002Date of Patent: May 11, 2004Assignee: O-Cedar Brands, Inc.Inventors: Christopher J. Patent number: 6625838Abstract: A mop including a mop handle and a mop head located at one end of the handle and including a plurality of flexible strands defining a mop body. A sleeve is positioned on the mop handle and is supported for slidable movement in an axial direction parallel to the handle, and is further supported for rotatable movement relative to the handle. A lower end of the sleeve is provided with engagement portions defined by slots for engaging and gripping the strands of the mop body to facilitate twisting of the mop body by the sleeve. In addition, a ratchet and pawl mechanism is provided by cooperating portions of the mop body and sleeve to limit rotation of the sleeve to a single direction during a wringing operation.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2001Date of Patent: September 30, 2003Assignee: O-Cedar Brands, Inc.Inventors: Christopher Laux, David Hunt, Robert Roth

Patent number: 6491762Abstract: A method for removing non-stick coatings from cookware or bakeware products is disclosed. The method includes the step of determining the angles of the primary surfaces of a pan having a coating to be removed. The method further includes the step of configuring a high-speed, multiport, rotating cleaning head to provide at least one water jet associated with each primary surface. The method further includes the step of employing the cleaning head to deliver an ultra-high pressure water jet directed at the pan while tracking the cleaning head along a plane substantially parallel to the upper surface of the pan. Using the method of the present invention, a coating may be removed from a pan in a single pass.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2000Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Inventors: Gilbert L. Bundy, Bradley S. Moore

Patent number: 6471060Abstract: A doll case arrangement for storing, transporting and displaying at least one doll is disclosed. The doll case arrangement includes an outer shell and at least one removable display housing. The display housing is intended to house a doll or a set of doll accessories. The outer shell is adapted to receive the at least one removable display housing. Preferably, the outer shell comprises a spine connected to two molded halves. Each molded half forms at least one interior storage cavity adapted to receive a removable display housing. Further, the connection between each molded half and the spine forms a hinge enabling the molded halves to open and close with respect to each other.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2001Date of Patent: October 29, 2002Assignee: Leyshon Miller Industries, Inc.Inventor: Frank A. Patent number: 6289380Abstract: A network management system allows a network administrator to intuitively manage all components of a heterogeneous networked computer system using views of any component or any set of components. These views are generated in a multi-dimensional, virtual reality environment. Navigation tools are provided that allow an operator to travel through the network hierarchy's representation in the virtual environment using an automatic flight mode. Automatic flight mode determines a reasonable trajectory to a network component that avoids collisions with intervening objects in the virtual environment. Since the system is capable of managing a world-wide network, views of a network component may be organized by continent, wide area network, city, building, subnet, segment, and computer. A view may also display internal hardware, firmware, and software of any network component. Views of network components may be filtered so only components pertaining to a specific business or other interest are displayed.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1999Date of Patent: September 11, 2001Assignee: Computer Associates Think, Inc.Inventors: Reuven Battat, Michael Her, Chandrasekha Sundaresh, Anders Vinberg, Sidney Wang
