Abstract: A method and apparatus for exercising and rehabilitating muscles, muscle groups, ligaments and soft tissue connecting limbs and limb extremities wherein the limb extremity is suspended by tension means in an environment that stabilizes the limb position while facilitating the movement of the extremity in space. The apparatus includes tension members to develop and provide desired counter forces in opposition to those created by strain of the selected muscles, muscle groups, ligaments and soft tissue.

Abstract: Concealed hardware for controlling the raising and lowering of the crib side, permits the construction of a crib which includes no projecting or exposed parts. The hardware comprises a channel member embedded within the end stiles of the crib side and an engaged coupling element fastened to the adjacent crib end. The channel member restricts movement of the crib side to vertical translation, and includes a latching chamber at the bottom which selectively traps or releases the coupling element when it is desired to secure the crib side in an elevated position.

Abstract: A security device for locking adjacent members, comprising an apertured latch plate mounted on one member, and a locking device mounted on the other. The locking device is provided with a pivotally mounted element that is rotatable into locking engagement through the apertures of the latch plate. The actuating handle of the pivotally mounted element projects along a plane substantially parallel to the member on which it is mounted during engagement and at an outward angle therefrom during disengagement, detent means being provided to discretely establish these two conditions.

Abstract: An anti-theft device for attachment to the steering wheel of an automobile comprising two members having elongated shell housings adapted for coaxial coupling. The members enclose a core element that is controllably translated to rigidize the coupling, effect attachment to the steering wheel, and extend one end of the assembled device beyond the periphery of the steering wheel. The members are quickly disassembled for storage in the automobile glove box. When packaged for storage, the length of the package is less than one-half the length of the assembled device.

Abstract: A unique diode sensor adapted for responding with pre-established sensitivity over a range of relatively low frequencies. A diode is connected to a dipole antenna having both conductive and resistive portions. Lumped impedances are connected in parallel with the diode and the values of these impedances are selected in coordination with the characteristics of the diode and antenna to control the sensitivity of the sensor as a function of the frequency of the illuminating energy.

Abstract: A temperature probe that does not perturb incident electromagnetic fields which includes a high resistance thermocouple mounted within a rigid needle structure. Special leads connect the thermocouple to appropriate metering means to register the temperature sensed by the thermocouple.
