Abstract: A shrimp peeling, deveining and head removal tool including a pair of handles pivoted together and urged apart by a compression spring, an upper blade attached to lower handle and a lower blade pivoted to both handles with the ends of the blades of substantially of the same configuration and disposed in close proximity one within the other when the handles are compressed, and a pair of tines extending, respectively, from the upper handle and the upper blade and being in contact substantially the entire length thereof when the handles are not compressed.
Abstract: A multi-strand cable attachment hub securing multiple trees or multiple poles together includes a hub base made of aluminum or another suitable soft metal with respectively angled tapered channels extending therethrough with tapered inner bodies made of stainless steel or other suitable hard metal with a central aperture extending therethrough. Multi-strand steel cables extending respectively through the channels and the ends partially unwound with a single strand threaded through the central apertures in the tapered inner bodies and the remaining strands threaded between the inner bodies and channel walk. The single middle strands are bent over the ends of the tapered inner bodies and the inner bodies pulled into the corresponding channel to trap the strands between each inner body and the wall of the channel.
Abstract: An orthodontic bone anchor comprising an anchor plate, a tube affixed to the emerging end of the anchor plate and, a rod slidable within the tube, a groove formed in the rod, a plate attached to the tube at one end and having a V-shaped notch at the other end, and the V-shaped notch adapted to cooperate with the groove to prevent movement of the rod with respect to the tube.

Abstract: The invention relates to the confinement of an alloy formed of actinide transuranic radioactive wastes and beryllium metal within a neutron moderating and reflecting apparatus to cause accelerated destruction (burning) of the actinide wastes. Waste actinides, including plutonium, neptunium, americium, and curium, emit alpha particles by radioactive decay. The alpha particles are converted into neutrons by the beryllium through an alpha-neutron (alpha, n) reaction. The neutrons developed by the alpha, n reaction are moderated by a surrounding layer of graphite, which allows the slowed neutrons to cause additional fission or decay events within the waste actinide alloy. This process is passive because the alpha particles that initiate the actinide burning are an intrinsic physical property of the actinides.
Abstract: An all terrain vehicle having a vehicle frame with a boom frame attached to the vehicle frame, a saddle nest attached to the boom frame, a pivot saddle respectively secured to the boom frame, a telescoping boom secured in the pivot saddle, the pivot saddle comprising a post disposed adjacent and parallel to the telescoping boom, a locking sleeve slidably mounted on the post, and a latch formed on the vehicle frame with the locking sleeve and latch adapted to interlock to maintain the telescoping boom in an upright position.
Abstract: A screw-type orthodontic anchor having an upper member with a pair of slots formed therein with the slots being of different depths. A head portion disposed below the upper member with a collar or cap enveloping the upper member and having a protrusion formed on the inner surfaces thereof which is positioned in a hole extending through the head portion.
Abstract: A game is played on a billiard type table using balls with indicia of chess pieces. A cue stick is used to strike the balls following rules of movement that vary with the indicia on the ball to be moved. Game rules control movement and pocketing of balls are representative of the movement and capture of chess pieces, but are modified for use on a billiard table. The game is also adaptable to other playing surfaces including electronic displays.
