    Abstract: The present invention provides an electro-mechanical programmer/timer having a plurality of switches actuated by a rotating program cam with each of the switches tracking a separate cam track on the cam. The program cam is indexed by a pawl which engages ratchet teeth on the program cam. The pawl is oscillated by engagement with a sub-interval cam driven by a motor drive. At least one of the switches following the program cam is a single-pole double-throw switch with the center blade thereof actuated by a cam follower lever operated by a separate track on the sub-interval cam.

    Abstract: An automotive light switch assembly having a rotatable/pull-push type user actuator extending from a housing adapted for dashboard mounting. The rotary actuation controls the on/off functions for both the parking and headlamps and the pull-push actuation controls the on/off function for the vehicle interior lights. A light pipe illuminates, from a stationary source a translucent lens on the rotatable/pull-push actuator to facilitate user location. Stationary translucent lenses are illuminated to indicate the particular function position that has been selected. A pair of spaced oppositely disposed wheel or disc-type actuators are provided below the rotatable/pull-push actuator for controlling respectively headlamp illumination distance and interior light intensity. A light pipe illuminates, from a stationary lamp source, a translucent lens on each wheel to indicate the wheel position. Stationary illuminated indicators display the function/level selected by each individual wheel position.

    Abstract: A conduit, to be attached to a fluid port in a block or wall, has an enlarged end with a sealing ring and an attachment plate with a cut-out engaging the enlarged end, preferably with the plate secured against the enlarged end by a retaining ring or convolution. The plate has an attachment hole with a snap ring in the hole which is snap-locked onto a barbed stud threaded into the block retaining the enlarged conduit end in the fluid port. The conduit is disconnected by unthreading the stud through the plate hole from the block.

The housing has spring tabs for snap locking insertion into a hole in a mounting panel. The switching member has conductive strips formed by plating over two-shot integrally molded plastic strips, with the conductive strips interconnecting the lamps and wiper contacts attached to the switching member. A conductive wiper member with plural wiper fingers is also attached to the switching member. A base member formed of two-shot molded plastic has conductive switching contact strips formed by plating the second shot molded plastic and which are inserted in the housing, with the base releasably attached.

    Abstract: A cartridge type pressure switch is formed with a cup-shaped contact flanged outwardly at its rim and slidably nested in an annular spacer. A flexible diaphragm has an integrally formed annular bead ring which is stretched over the spacer to secure the diaphragm in place over the cup-shaped contact. A spring nested in the cup-shaped contact has the outer end registered against a deck or spring retainer. A pair of stationary contacts on opposite sides of the spacer have terminal portions extending outwardly through the deck. The spring biases the cup-shaped contact in a direction to seat the flange against the stationary contacts. When the cartridge is inserted in a bore, the bead ring is compressed to seal the cartridge in the bore.

    Abstract: A stalk operated switch assembly having a stalk or lever end-mounted on a housing includes a button on the free end which is user rotatable for effecting rotation of a cam within the housing. The housing includes a plurality of capacitive switches aligned thereon. Each switch is made by applying alternate layers of conductive and dielectric ink and curing to form individual pairs of spaced capacitive plates. A conductive elastomer pad is disposed over each pair of plates and compressed against the plates by an individual actuator for each pad. The individual actuators are moved by one of plural concentric cam tracks formed on the rotor. The stalk type rotary multiple capacitive switching assembly has application for automotive windshield wiper delay circuit control.

High pressure at 11 drives diaphragm 24 and magnet 25 upwards, which attracts magnet 20 upwards, and connects terminals 15, 16 via mobile contact 18.

One stationary strip is completely exposed and is electrically common and in continuous contact with one pin. For each selected different rotor position combinations of two other pins contact different exposed portion of the remaining strips to give a discrete electrical indication, for each rotor position.

    Abstract: A panel-mountable pressure switch having an external adjustment lever has a mounting bracket with a right-angled flange attached to the switch housing. The bracket has a cam shaft rotatably mounted on the bracket for adjusting the lever position with the end of the shaft extending outwardly through the bracket flange. The panel has a non-circular aperture formed therein and a plurality of tabs formed on the bracket flange are inserted into the aperture and the bracket is rotated to secure the flange against he surface of the panel. A releasable locking tab on the bracket flange snaps into a separate aperture recess formed in the panel to prevent reverse rotation of the bracket and removal without user depression of the locking tab.

The switch has an annular sleeve which upon being received over the valve shaft is engaged to be rotated by the valve shaft. The rotor is journalled on the switch base which has stationary contacts provided on opposite sides of the rotor. User rotation of the valve shaft causes the rotor to rotate and the wiper contacts complete a circuit between the stationary contacts.
