  • Patent number: 6527524
Abstract: A bi-directional fluid valve apparatus comprising a valve member adapted to co-act with an annular shoulder at the end of a fluid bore, the valve member having two axial ends. A flat surface on a first end having a diameter greater than that of the shoulder is positioned with the flat surface abutting the axial end surface of the shoulder. At least two axially extending and circumferentially spaced apart ribs are on the second axial end thereof, each of the ribs terminating in an end surface. The ribs are positioned so that the end surfaces are in axial alignment with, and spaced a preselected distance from, the axial end surface of the shoulder. Hollow coil spring means are positioned within the recesses in register with the bores, and having a first end engaging one of the shoulders, and a second end engaging the at least three circumferentially spaced apart ribs and the second axial end of the valve member.

  • Patent number: 6060962
Abstract: An analog phase modulator is provided for linearly phase modulating a high carrier frequency input signal in proportion to an applied bias signal. A first variable reactance network, including at least a pair of variable reactance devices separated by an approximately 1/4 wave length transmission line segment, is capacitively coupled to an in-phase port of a power divider network, and a second identical variable reactance network is capacitively coupled to a quadrature phase shifted port of the power divider network. A bias source signal is applied to each of the first and second variable reactance networks through identical bias filters, each including a high impedance transmission line segment serially connected between the bias source and the variable reactance network, and a low impedance transmission line segment shunt segment at the juncture of the high impedance transmission line segment and the bias source input port.

  • Patent number: 4846069
Abstract: An improved cased telescoped ammunition round includes a propellant charge disposed in a tubular case and having an axial bore. The case is composed of a skin tube and forward and aft end caps on opposite ends of the tube. The case defines a chamber that contains the propellant charge. Separate forward and aft tubes are disposed in the case extending at least partially through the axial bore of the propellant charge from respective forward and aft ends of the bore. The separate tubes are attached respectively to the forward and aft end caps of the case. A projectile is housed within the separate tubes and the axial bore of the propellant charge, and a primer is disposed within an aft end of the aft tube. The primer is actuatable for igniting the propellant charge to cause firing of the projectile forwardly from the case.
