Abstract: A multiple purpose lathe which can include a special valve polishing device, a camshaft lap device and other mechanisms. The valve polishing device includes a pair of generally axially parallel, rotatable rollers positioned to bear against and support a valve stem held therein while being polished by a movable belt. The camshaft lap device includes, optionally, a movable wheel bearing against the polishing belt which, in turn, bears against the camshaft being polished.
Abstract: A machine which separates pallet boards from their connecting stringers by sawing essentially through their attaching nails only, thus minimizing damage to the boards so that they can be reused. In order to separate and loosen the boards so that only the nails are cut a pressing device is designed to squeeze the sides of a pallet inserted within it. Then the loosened pallet, with the boards lifted so that there is space enough for a saw blade to be inserted to cut the nails only, is sent through the previously described sawing machine.
Abstract: This a means for locking an automobile battery to its mounting plate so that it can't easily be stolen. It includes a special block and hardened material which serves to lodge a mounted battery in place against its mounting plate. A bolt is secured through this block to the mounting plate. The bolt has a head formed with a variably configured female locking receptacles which fits down in a recessed opening in the top of the block. A key male piece can be matingly received in this female head so that the attached bolt can be turned to lock or release the battery. The key can be removed and the recessed head becomes inaccessible for security of the battery.
Abstract: This is an organizer and holder for hair styling irons and a heater stove sized and balanced to conveniently fit in an ordinary stylist work station. It includes a series of tubular receptacles (for holding hair irons) supported by a rigid, curved, band-shaped strap rising from a supporting base. The base has means to secure a heater stove in place and has a utility tray for holding a working iron.

Abstract: A device for quickly removing nails from boards which includes an elongated rod adapted to drive a nail extractor head having a groove shaped to grip nails embedded in a board. The nails thus engaged by this device are then lifted free from the board by turning the extractor head.
Abstract: A clamping device specially structured to provide conformingly shaped jaws and precisely positioned, leveraged fingers adapted to bend metal fence-attaching clips into locking position around adjacent portions of wire fences and round gate posts.
Abstract: A portable machine for exercising the limbs and body muscles including a frame having a spaced pair of parallel rods joined together at opposite ends. Hand-holds extending between these rods are provided on one end and in the middle of the exerciser frame. The middle hand-hold is slidably mounted against spring-tensioning to provide exercising activity for a user.
Abstract: A floating container, specially adapted to hold live bait, which is shaped like a small boat so that it can be pulled behind a fishing vessel without sinking. The container is transparent so that the bait carried therein can be seen and thus attract game fish in the surrounding water. The container is structured to provide proper aeration for the bait, yet allow access to it when needed. Closure doors are positioned to shut independently when the container is being towed.
Abstract: Coping specially formed to provide inset areas for matingly shaped inlaid decorative tile adapted for use around swimming pools. The method for molding such coping and inserting tile therein.

Abstract: A container adapted to hold loose articles in place by securing them against a backing structure by means of a specially fitted resilient removable lid.
Abstract: A resilient material molded into a triangular form to go between a pickup truck cab roof and a mated camper cab-over to solidify and eliminate the sway of the pickup. It also diverts wind each way out from the side of the truck, thus eliminating the wind lift of the camper, leaving full normal weight of the pickup on the front wheels and preserving full control of the pickup truck.
Abstract: A box-shaped device for trapping flies including a bottom opening below which a fly food tray is positioned. Means are provided to periodically agitate the food tray so as to cause flies alighting thereon to enter into the fly trap through the bottom entry thereof.
Abstract: A reel for storing computer tape comprising an annular hub and two annular flanges wherein the hub is formed by molding a thin somewhat elastic plastic hub sleeve about the outside cylindrical surface of an I-beam sectioned rigid annular hub core.
Abstract: An umbrella structured device which retracts to a compact size including an encircling, retractable and extendable outer drape which can substantially completely protect the umbrella user from rain or other inclement weather. A collapsible attachment provides a means for carrying the umbrella while freeing the user's hands.
Abstract: A locking device for spare tires which includes a specially formed mounting post for the tire, a base plate for the post, a locking disk engaging the tire and a lock fitted on the post to hold the disc and tire securely.
Abstract: A steering wheel for a vehicle including as part of its center portion a recessed container for holding a writing pad which is constructed to form an attractive integral structure that is also utilitarian. A pen or pencil may also be carried in said container.
