  • Patent number: 6078293
Abstract: An antenna apparatus for a keyless entry device is also used for receiving a radio wave transmitted by a remote control unit within a vehicular compartment. The keyless entry device and the remote control unit are configured to generate respective radio waves having a common frequency. Both radio waves can be received by at least one antenna of a column switch and a steering wheel. The antennas are placed distant from the steering shaft and common ground pattern to improve transmitting and receiving sensitivity.

  • Patent number: 6077727
Abstract: There is provided a method for manufacturing a lead frame which can easily manufacture a high quality lead frame.A pattern layer is selectively formed on a copper plate and the surface of the substrate having formed this pattern layer is then plated with gold to form a gold layer using the pattern layer as the mask. Next, the gold layer is then plated with copper to form a copper layer, thereby forming a fine lead consisting of two layers of gold layer and copper layer. Thereafter, the pattern layer is selectively removed, an insulated resist film is formed and the copper plate is etched. In this case, the gold layer is used as the etching stop layer. Thereby, the lead frame having the fine lead of double-layer structure can be formed.

  • Patent number: 6078531
Abstract: An address transition detector (ATD) detects a change of address and generates a pulse signal Sc. A control circuit generates a pulse signal Sd and outputs it to a booster circuit in response to a timing of completion of the signal Sc. The booster circuit generates a boosted voltage higher in level than a power supply voltage during an active period of the signal Sd and outputs it to a decoder. The decoder holds the control gate of the output transistor connected to the word line selected in response to the address at a first voltage level, then inputs the boosted voltage to one of the source and drain electrodes so as to hold the gate at a second voltage level higher than the first voltage level by exactly the boosted voltage using capacitive coupling between the control gate and the one of the source and drain electrodes, whereby it outputs a boosted voltage to the other of the drain and source electrodes and drives the word line connected to the other of the drain and source electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6074787
Abstract: A mask pattern including an auxiliary pattern for improving printing accuracy is easily formed. A process of making the auxiliary pattern includes the steps of: providing an auxiliary pattern forbidden region around an original pattern based on the original pattern formed by an original pattern generating means (step S1); providing an auxiliary pattern formation region around the auxiliary pattern forbidden region based on the auxiliary pattern forbidden region provided in step S1 (step S2); and forming an auxiliary pattern of specific width based on the auxiliary pattern formation region provided in step S2 (step S3). Such formation of the auxiliary pattern prevents neighboring two traces of auxiliary pattern from touching or overlapping each other, for example. An auxiliary pattern is easily formed even if an original pattern is a complicated one without repeatability.

  • Patent number: 6076165
Abstract: A method for authenticating digital storage devices, including compact discs, CD-Roms, DVDs and floppy discs, is provided. A predetermined "fingerprint" code is embedded in one or more of the parity bytes which are always appended to the end of data frames for the purpose of detecting and correcting errors in the data frames as they are read from the digital storage devices by playback devices, such as CD players, computers, and DVD players. The "fingerprint" code is embedded during the mastering process of the originally-produced, authentic storage device by a "fingerprint" encoder implemented by either hardware or software. The "fingerprint" is not transferred to target storage devices when the original storage device is copied because standard duplicating equipment do not have the "fingerprint" encoder which will be used by mastering equipment.

  • Patent number: 6072701
Abstract: In a switching power source, by alternately turning on the first and second MOS transistors, a resonance current flows to a primary winding of a transformer, and an alternate current is transmitted to a secondary side. With respect to an alternate signal generated in a secondary winding, a gate voltage is applied so that the third MOS transistor and the fourth MOS transistor are conductive, respectively, while the polarity of the alternate signal is positive. Rectifying currents are flowed to a capacitor and a full-wave rectification is executed. Since a control signal for synchronous control is supplied from a signal source to control the first and second switching elements via transformers, a switching timing can be accurately coincided with an on/off timing of a synchronous rectifying device by a simple circuit. The efficiency of a current resonance type switching power source is thus improved.

  • Patent number: 6069927
Abstract: A digital signal transmission apparatus, wherein at the time of normal data transmission, an output circuit of a transmitter unit selects transmission data SDAT and converts it to a differential signal for output to the transmission line, while a clock recovery circuit of the receiver unit generates a clock signal LCK matching the frequency of the transmission clock signal TCK and receives the signal based on the same. When the clock signal LCK and the received signal deviate in frequency, the clock reproduction circuit outputs a common mode reference clock request signal to the transmission line. In accordance with this, the transmitter unit selects the reference clock signal RCK for output to the transmission line. The clock recovery circuit of the receiver unit uses this to make the frequency of the clock signal LCK match the transmission clock signal.
