Abstract: Recycleable bulk bag containers having an exterior fabric layer and an interior fabric layer or interior film liner. Such bulk bag containers are used in the storage and transport of materials in powder, granular and other particulate forms. Such containers carry loads of up to one ton or more.
Abstract: The present invention provides aqueous low (70 weight percent or less) VOC hair styling compositions. More particuarly, the present invention provides a low VOC hair styling composition containing at least one acrylic hair fixative resin and one or more plasticizing compounds selected from polycarboxylic acid esters and dimehiconecoporyols. The present invention also provides a low beading, low VOC hair styling composition comprising at least one surface tension reducing compound, at least one acrylic hair fixative resin, and at least one simeticone. The present invention also provides an aqueous hair resin composition which inhibits microbial growth. The aqueous hair resin composition contains at least one acrylic hair fixative resin and iodopropynylbutylcarbamate.
Abstract: Polymers having amine-thiol terminal moieties are provided. The amine-thiol terminal moieties are imparted by using amine-thiols as chain transfer agents in aqueous addition polymerizations. The polymers are useful as mineral dispersants, as water-treatment additives for boiler waters, cooling towers, reverse osmosis applications, sugar refining, paper production, geothermal processes and oil wells, and as detergent additives acting as builders, anti-filminig agents, dispersants, sequestering agents and encrustation inhibitors.

Abstract: A stabilized aqueous slurry of magnesium hydroxide and a method for preparing the same are provided. The method involves an aqueous magnesium hydroxide slurry prepared with a combination of (a) one or more polymeric dispersants and (b) one or more water-soluble alkali metal salts. Slurries prepared according to the invention are less susceptible to increases in viscosity upon standing and remain flowable after several days.
Abstract: Polycarboxylate additives suitable for use in automatic dishwasher detergent compositions are prepared by polymerizing three or more monomers including monoethylenically unsaturated C.sub.3 to C.sub.6 monocarboxylic acids such as acrylic acid, monoethylenically unsaturated C.sub.4 to C.sub.6 dicarboxylic acids such as maleic acid, and monoethylenically unsaturated esters of acrylic or methacrylic acid. Automatic dishwasher detergents prepared from these additives produce low filming and spotting on washed glassware.

Abstract: An improved toughened blend of an aromatic polyester with from 5 to 20 phr of an impact modifier, which impact modifier is a blend of (a) 80 to 85 weight percent of a core/shell impact modifier having a polybutadiene core and at least one shell formed from methyl methacrylate and styrene; and (b) 15 to 20 weight percent of a linear copolymer which contains from 50 to 85 parts of units derived from ethylene, from 5 to 40 parts of units derived from (meth)acrylic esters, and from 2 to 10 parts of a copolymerizable monomer containing an epoxy group. The toughened blend exhibits higher impact strength than would be calculated for the blend using a linear relationship based on values of notched Izod for two blends, each containing only one of the impact modifiers at an equal use level.
