Abstract: A method and system for secure computational outsourcing and disguise. According to an embodiment, a first set of actual arguments and a second set of actual arguments for an outsourced computation are determined. A first group of disguised arguments corresponding to the first set of actual arguments is prepared with a first computer. A second group of disguised arguments corresponding to the second set of actual arguments is prepared with a second computer. The first and second groups of disguised arguments are output from the first and second computers, respectively, for performance of the outsourced computation. A third computer performs the outsourced computation and returns a disguised result to the first and/or second computers. The first and/or second computers then unveil the actual result from the disguised result.
Abstract: A pressure control apparatus for use in a bed including a pressurized air source, an inflatable air sack, and an independently inflatable cell located adjacent the inflatable air sack. A controller is operable to regulate the pressure in the air sack and to independently alternately pressurize and vent the inflatable cell at a selected frequency.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the highly accurate determination of the filling level (q) of a product (4) in a container (2), measuring signals being transmitted in the direction of the surface (5) of the filled product (4) and reflected at the surface (5) as echo signals and the filling level (q) in the container (2) being determined by evaluation of the amplitude values (A) and phase values (&psgr;) of the reflected echo signals by means of a pulse delay-time method. Furthermore, an apparatus suitable for carrying out the method is proposed.
The invention is based on the object of proposing a method and an apparatus which permit highly accurate filling level measurements in containers (2), even if multipath propagation or multimode propagation occurs.

Abstract: Surprisingly, silver-copper-palladium brazing alloys, which have hitherto been used only for the brazing of components of the same material, are also very well suited for brazing directly titanium to stainless steel if, the latter component clasps the titanium component tightly, so that the cold joint is under constant compressive stress. In a method for forming the titanium-steel compound the titanium component is provided with a cylindrical end which has a smaller outside diameter than an adjacent main portion whose external surface is a first surface to be brazed. The cylindrical steel component is a sleeve whose inside diameter is equal to the outside diameter of the main portion and whose internal surface is a second surface to be brazed. A silver-copper-palladium brazing alloy is placed around the end of the titanium component. The steel sleeve is slipped thereover.
Abstract: A hydrotherapy mattress assembly which includes an air-over-foam core, a base for receiving the air-over-foam core, and a top cover overlying the air-over-foam core. The top cover provides a patient support surface and includes a drain trough. The drain trough is coupled to a drain which extends through the air-over-foam core and the base, so that liquids can be drained from the patient support surface.

Abstract: A bed includes a base frame, a deck coupled to the base frame for supporting a body, a peer-to-peer communication network having a plurality of connection points, and a plurality of modules. Each module is electrically coupled to a selected connection point of the peer-to-peer communication network. Each module is configured to perform a dedicated function during operation of the bed, and each module is configured to communicate over the peer-to-peer communication network with selected other modules.
