  • Patent number: 8300839
Abstract: A level ratio calculation circuit calculates average signal level data of signal level data corresponding to each sound collection beam signal, and calculates a level ratio between the average signal level data and each of the signal level data. Since a diffraction sound is substantially equal to all the signal level data, a diffraction sound component of the average signal level data also becomes substantially equal. On the other hand, a collection sound from a speaker is specific to the signal level data of the corresponding sound collection beam signal. Therefore, at the level ratio, the portion corresponding to the diffraction sound is flat and a data level becomes high locally in only the portion corresponding to the collection sound. By using this, the sound collection beam signal including the collection sound is detected.

  • Patent number: 8300853
Abstract: An audio mixing console includes a brightness adjusting mode selection button and an adjustment subject specification button. A user operates the brightness adjusting mode selection button to set up a brightness adjusting mode, and operates the adjustment subject specification button to specify any color LED of RGB or all colors as an adjustment subject. When an LED button is operated, brightness of an LED of a color of an adjustment subject in a multicolor LED unit incorporated in the LED button is increased one step by one step. In another example, in response to an operation of a button, brightness of an LED of a color of the adjustment subject in the multicolor LED unit incorporated in a plurality of LED buttons other than this button is increased one step by one step. This work is carried out for every LED and LED button.

  • Patent number: 8292285
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus capable of maintaining alignment of sheets of a sheet bundle on a processing tray even in a job uses sheets including particular sheets. In the sheet processing apparatus (finisher), a sheet conveyed along a conveying path is retained in a buffer path. The sheet and the following sheet are stacked on a processing tray in a state superposed with a shift in a conveying direction. A finisher controller determines in advance, before a conveyed sheet reaches the buffer path, whether or not the sheet is a particular sheet having a protrusion. When the sheet retained in the buffer path and the following sheet are to be superposed one upon the other, the amount of the shift between the sheets in the conveying direction is controlled according to a result of the determination by the finisher controller.

  • Patent number: 8289355
Abstract: To correct distortion in an optical system of an optical scanning, electrophotographic image generating apparatus, a parallel line group 107? is printed by a printing apparatus to be calibrated on a sheet on which a correction pattern 101 has been printed. The user reads marker positions to find amounts of deviation of the adjustment pattern from the correction pattern and inputs the amounts of deviation in the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus interpolates values between the input amounts of deviation, establishes positions at which a line in the adjustment pattern deviate one pixel in a sub-scanning direction as scan line changing points and generate new conversion information by pairing the scan line changing points with respective directions of deviation. During image generation, the printing apparatus prints an image by correcting image data according to the conversion information.

  • Patent number: 8291467
Abstract: An image forming apparatus capable of flexibly setting a security policy for a modified file. A client terminal generates a print job added with a new security policy for a second file generated from a first file, and delivers the print job added with the new security policy to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus generates intermediate data based on the print job delivered from the client terminal, and causes a second policy server to register the security policy. The second policy server registers the security policy, while items of the security policy being appropriately assigned to the first and second policy servers. The second policy server generates an encryption key. The image forming apparatus encrypts the intermediate data using the encryption key, and stores the encrypted intermediate data.

  • Patent number: 8287250
Abstract: A multistage vacuum pump unit can save a power requirement and prevent the gas discharged outside of the unit from flowing-back inside the pump unit. A plurality of vacuum pumps are connected in series to form the multistage vacuum pump unit. A suction inlet of a first stage vacuum pump thereof is connected to a to-be-vacuumized container so that the space inside of the container becomes under a high vacuum condition. In an operating method, part of the gas discharged into a first intermediate passage from the first stage vacuum pump is branched during a low vacuum operation, and discharged toward an air atmosphere through a low conductance line provided with check valves that prevent the branched gas from flowing back.
