The support element (26) is provided with filter-active substances or is made of filter-active substances. A certain type of filter auxiliary agent can be obtained which is used to reduce influences of fluid components which reduce the service life, in the form of specific ageing products or in the form of other agents which damage the fluid.

Abstract: A head set device includes an antenna housing, a speaker housing connected to the antenna housing while protruding from one face of the antenna housing, and a hinge device for rotatably combining the speaker housing to the antenna housing. The speaker housing rotates with respect to a rotation axis that extends outwardly from one face of the antenna housing. The antenna housing and the speaker housing are rotatably connected together using a hinge device, thereby allowing the user to selectively wear the head set device on either ear and thus facilitating the use of the head set device.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for applying guidelines to data and providing self-assessment ability. Guideline data is stored in a data storage component, along with user data. The user data represents both quantitative data and qualitative self-assessment data. In a self-assessment system and method, a graphical user interface is provided along with a target image and factor icons. The icons are adapted to be moved onto a position on the target image representative of an entity's self assessment of performance relative to the corresponding factor. A subset of actionable alternatives are selected and displayed based on the self-assessment data and the guidelines.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for generating a personalized radio channel playlist by time division multiplexing songs from multiple received channels from one or more broadcast source streams in a queue. Users specify favorite channels for building personal playlists, or multiple default playlist channels are provided by genre. Thumbs up/down buttons on the radio receiver enter a song or artist being played back into a favorites list used to search all channels for matches or a banned list used to block songs from future playlists. A matched channel carrying the favorite is added to the playlist. Segments on the playlist are dynamically truncated to reduce the average time each segment is played and facilitate preview. Preview times can vary depending on the size of the playlist or number of channels used. Connectivity options and web interfaces facilitate transfer and sharing of customization parameters for personalized radio configuration.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for receiving, by an access network (AN), reception strength of a forward pilot channel, measured and reported by each access terminal (AT), as forward data rate information, and transmitting packet data to each AT according to the forward data rate information. When the number of repeated transmission slots for packet data transmitted based on the forward data rate information is greater than or equal to two, the AN repeatedly transmits the packet data as many times as the number of slots, which is less than the number of repeated transmission slots, and transmits new packet data through the remaining slots.

Flow through the filter elements (21) is possible in both directions for filtration or backwashing. Because the shut-off element (41) is a fast-closing plate valve (43) actuated by a hydraulic piston (53) and blocks the fluid connection so quickly, a feeding effect is created in the manner of a pressure blow on the backwashed filter element (21). The feeding effect increases the cleaning of pollution on the filter element (21), achieving an improved backwashing cleaning.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for triggering re-negotiation of a session when an Access Terminal moves from one access network (source AN) to another access network (target AN) having different capabilities in high rate packet data system. According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the source AN is allowed to store all the protocol subtypes, protocols and applications that AT is capable of and also allowing the AT to send this information in priority order during session negotiation and hence facilitating the transfer of this information from source AN to target AN during session transfer when AT moves from one AN to another AN. An alternate embodiment is to let the AT send the protocol subtypes, protocols and applications and other AT capable information to target AN after it moves to a new AN or by letting the Rev-A capable AN query the AT's capability information and then the AT providing this information.

When communication is tried during the remote control mode, the portable terminal terminates the remote control mode and displays the communication state to provide a communication service upon a user's selection. When the communication ends, the portable terminal returns to the remote control mode.

The microwave radiation is produced in a microwave source (7) on the outside of the combustion chamber (5). The introduced microwave radiation is absorbed by the fuel distributed in the combustion chamber (5). The supply of energy, in the fuel, arising from absorption, distributes combustion in a large-volume in the combustion chamber (5), preferably in the entire combustion chamber (5) and in a homogenous manner, and is essentially simultaneously ignited. An associated ignition device (1) and an associated engine (2) are also provided.

Abstract: A system and method for transmitting/receiving encryption information in a mobile broadcast system supporting broadcast service (BCAST) are provided. In the mobile broadcast system, a BCAST Subscription Management (BSM) manages subscriber information of a terminal, and transmits to a BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation (BSD/A) a first delivery message including a Registration Key Material (RKM) provided for registration of the broadcast service of the terminal and including at least one service or content's identifier. The BSD/A transmits to the BSM a first delivery confirmation message including information indicating success/fail in receipt of the first delivery message, and transmits the RKM to the terminal.
