  • Patent number: 6023685
Abstract: An automated event ticket auctioning system receives and evaluates bid information records received from a plurality of remote terminals. The bid information records correspond to bids for one or more seats within a venue and corresponding to at least one particular event, wherein the venue has a plurality of sections, each section having a plurality of seats. The automated event ticket auctioning system includes a memory storing a plurality of previously accepted bid information records, the previously accepted bid information records each including identification information, section identification, quantity information and bid price information. The system further includes a central controlling computer operably connected to the memory. The central controlling computer is operable to first receive a message including a received bid information record from one of a plurality of remote terminals through a communication system.

  • Patent number: 6009149
Abstract: An automated calling system includes a database comprising phone numbers and one or more data fields associated with each phone number. Phone numbers (callees) in the database are selected based on the data fields associated therewith. A recorded voice message is transmitted to callees through a plurality of outgoing phone lines, and callees are prompted to enter one of several TOUCH TONE codes, which is recorded. The database record for the callee is automatically updated based on the TOUCH TONE response code, so that the updated field may be used to select whether to send a future call to the callee.

  • Patent number: 5999010
Abstract: A method for measuring the coupling capacitance between two interconnect lines of an integrated circuit structure having a ground plane. The steps include shorting the first and second lines together and measuring a first capacitance (Ct) between the ground plane and the shorted first and second lines; eliminating the short between the first and second lines; shorting the first line to the ground plane and measuring a second capacitance (C1) between the second line and the shorted ground plane and first line; eliminating the short between the first line and the ground plane; shorting the second line to the ground plane and measuring a third capacitance (Cc) between the first line and the shorted ground plane and second line; and determining the coupling capacitance between the first line and the second line according to the formula Cc=(C1+C2-Ct)/2.

  • Patent number: 5977294
Abstract: A process for polymer deformulation by solvent solution filtration begins by including formulated polymers and/or polymer products in a recycle stream. The formulated polymer products include a quantity of soluble polymers and/or insoluble polymers, soluble and/or insoluble colorants, formulations and additives. The recycle stream is placed in a solvent, taking the polymer and formulations into a solvent/polymer solution. Next, the solution is processed through a filtration stage. A quantity of mineral filter aid particles are then added to the solution to adsorb formulations contained in the solution. One of the mineral filter aids must be some form of carbon, preferably activated carbon. Other mineral filter aids may include diatomaceous earth. The solvent/polymer solution is then subjected to an additional polish filtration stage to remove substantially all of the mineral filter agents and associated formulations.
