Abstract: A thread has a corruption detection mechanism that compares a beginning state of a function with an ending state to determine any inconsistencies. Based on the type of inconsistency, a remedial action may be taken, such as ignoring the inconsistency, cleaning up the inconsistency, and terminating the thread with an exception. The analysis may also include analyzing various states after function execution to find problems such as incomplete transactions. Such a thread may be useful in an operating system as well as a multi-threaded application environment.
Abstract: A marking device for making layout marks on surfaces such as boards, panels, or walls including a tape measure with a plurality of holes disposed along its length is disclosed. The device also contains a reel for dispensing a chalk line wherein the chalk line is positioned over the tape measure. The chalk line may be tensioned and snapped to transfer chalk through the holes, thereby providing marks at predetermined intervals.
Abstract: A sawhorse is constructed with brackets allowing the legs of the sawhorse to fold into a compact unit by having the legs interleave when folded. The legs pivot about a plane that is canted to allow each leg to rotate without interfering with any other leg. The length of the legs are not restricted in any fashion. The legs may also be locked in both the extended, or service position as well as the closed position. The bracket may be constructed of as few as two unique parts, and a pair may be nested together for compact shipping, storage, and display on a store shelf.
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method of pressure testing an installed pipe by inserting a fitting into the internal threads found in saddle tee fittings. The internal threads of the fitting used by the cutting mechanism may allow a common apparatus to be used across different manufacturer's fittings without modification. Further, the device has a certain length of thread engagement to allow for proper engagement while maintaining the load carrying capacity required to properly perform the pressure test.
