Abstract: An oral pharmaceutical dosage form comprises pharmacologically effective amounts of an acid susceptible proton pump inhibitor or a salt thereof, an H2 receptor antagonist or a salt thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The dosage form is capable of raising gastric pH to above 4 within two hours after administration and to keep it at that level for at least 4 hours. Also disclosed is a method of manufacture of the dosage form, its use in treating dyspepsia and infection by Helicobacter pylori, and a method of treating disorders associated with gastric acid secretion.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for applying tabs to a traveling web of material at a transfer position when the tabs are provided to the transfer position in a path that is skew to the web travel path. A tab supply assembly carries the tabs in a tab path that is either perpendicularly skew or obliquely skew to the travel path of the web. The web is generally spaced from the tab supply assembly. A plurality of bump transfer surfaces is adapted to urge the web towards the tab supply assembly, thereby contacting a tab.
Abstract: A high visibility retractable safety strap and a method for securing a trailer to a towing vehicle is disclosed. The retractable safety strap is coupled to either the trailer or the towing vehicle. The high visibility nature of the strap increases safety for other motorists by making the presence of the coupling between the trailer and towing vehicle more perceivable. The safety straps also provide redundancy should the main coupling between the trailer and towing vehicle become detached.
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for recording, and/or stimulation, and/or blocking of a nerve make use of a molded cuff electrode. An electrically conductive surface is coupled to an inside surface of the cuff's elastic body. The electrically conductive surface and the body assume a coiled configuration in its natural state. An applicator tool having a body and a slider are used to implant the cuff electrode about a nerve.

Abstract: A torque-limiting driver. The driver comprises a handle having a housing, a drive assembly located the housing. The drive assembly comprises a drive, a drive clutch member supported by the drive shaft and secured to the housing, a camming clutch member supported by the drive shaft and interacting with and biased against the drive clutch member. The camming clutch member is coupled to the drive shaft. The housing has a first open end and a second open end. The drive assembly is locked or secured together at the first open end, and the drive assembly is connected to a tool at the second opening.
Abstract: An oral pharmaceutical dosage form comprises pharmacologically effective amounts of an acid-susceptible proton pump inhibitor and an H2 receptor antagonist in combination with at least on pharmacologically acceptable excipient which causes a delayed release and/or an extended release of the proton pump inhibitor. The H2 receptor antagonist is included in the dosage form in such a way that it is rapidly released after administration. This dosage form is suitable for the treatment of conditions associated with an excessive secretion of gastric acid and provides a suitable combination of a rapid onset and a long-lasting duration of the effect. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a dosage form and to a method for the treatment of conditions associated with the secretion of gastric acid.

Abstract: A system for removing chips from a web is disclosed, the system having a rotationally variable speed shoe for receiving a chip, a rotationally constant speed transfer roll for receiving a portion of a web from a die and anvil system, with the shoe initially rotating at a constant speed, slowing to allow a portion of the web to rip away from the chip at a leading rotational edge of the chip, next increasing in rotational speed to allow the chip to rip away from the web at a trailing rotational edge of the chip.
Abstract: A freeze-dried material is stored in a first chamber of a container along with a reconstituting liquid for the freeze-dried material, which is stored in a second chamber of the container. A sealing wall within the container forms a barrier between the first chamber and the second chamber preventing contact between the freeze-dried material and the reconstituting liquid. At least one valve assembly in the sealing wall selectively opens a region of the sealing wall to establish fluid flow communication between the first and second chambers, allowing the freeze dried material to be reconstituted. The reconstituted freeze-dried material can be administered from the same container to a recipient.

Abstract: A low profile locking tie head having a reduced wall thickness is provided for use in conjunction with a flexible strap. The low profile head comprises a wall, which circumferentially defines an opening, a reinforcement rib attached to the wall, and a pawl mechanism disposed at least partially inside the opening. A pair of clamping rails preferably provides a complete clamping surface, lowers the required tie head height, and assists in the transfer of force to the reinforcement rib. Further, a tie head retainer is provided to allow secure connection to a predetermined support structure.

Abstract: Disclosed is an improved mounting assembly for securely supporting elongated items against a surface. The assembly includes a device to attach at least one elongate object to the mount, a spring section, and a mount section. The mount section is in the form of a rectangular fir tree mount. The rectangular fir tree mount has a tapered tip and a generally rectangular shape. The center segment of the rectangular fir tree mount includes a number of curved branches. The spring section includes flexible springs extending downwardly from the mount. The flexible springs provide tension and resistance when the mount is inserted into a supporting surface. The flexible springs and the branches allow the rectangular fir tree mount to be utilized on panels of varying thicknesses.
