  • Patent number: 5203531
Abstract: This invention relates to improved devices for holding a stack of light tapered paper cups such that the stack is not easily knocked down by wind, accidentally or otherwise. A series of embodiments are disclosed for fixed size of cups as well as adjustable types such that small as well as large cups can be stacked and short and tall stacks can be accommodated. The stationary fixed model comprises a conical base unit with a low center of gravity and a larger diameter at the bottom. An embodiment of the adjustable type comprises a base unit and plurality of adjustable prongs such that cups of different sizes can snugly fit.

  • Patent number: 4756115
Abstract: A flexible spreader and double standoff for fishing is described. The device description includes method of making and using the same. The preferred embodiment comprises a spring, a monofilament nylon line fed and fixed through said spring. Also described are means for fixing relative positions of said spring and said monofilament nylon line. Also described is prior art use of a connecting link to hold the fishing hook on with a plastic tube over said prior art connecting link as an attractor. The art of using this invention with prior art fishing hooks, and sinkers to optimize catch of a variety of fish such as porgy, flats, black, sea bass, fluke, sea robins, sand flats, and cod is delineated.

  • Patent number: 4523331
Abstract: A computer algorithm and apparatus for automated image input (including recognition), storage and output (including image generation) is described. Each image is transformed into a unique binary number and then stored as such. This unique binary number is obtained by adding unique binary value of each pixell present in that image. Means for processing handwriting and colored images are also disclosed. Image recognition and matching takes place by comparing the binary value of the new image received against all images stored in the descending order of difference in binary values. Thus the computer is able to recognize bad handwriting even when the difference between the ideal or stored samples on the one hand and the new image is substantial without consistency. The computer also stores data about its errors as well as corrections received from the user. For this and other reasons each user has a unique number.

  • Patent number: 4348153
Abstract: A rock box which mounts in front of a farm tractor and is suitable for loading, transporting and dumping rocks. The rock box can be lowered, tilted and raised by a single hydraulic cylinder and can be operated from the operator's seat of the farm tractor. Levers are provided to apply hydraulic cylinder action directly to raise or lower the rock box of this invention to the ground level. A chain is provided to transpose linear action of said cylinder into tilt or rotary action for unloading the contents of said rock box. Control connections are provided to control the rock box movements from inside the tractor cab.
