Abstract: A dispensing device has a storage device and an air pump for dispensing a medical formulation. The storage device has multiple inserts, each insert containing a single dose of the formulation. Each insert is located in a separate and sealed cavity. The cavities can be individually opened for dispensing the respective dose from the respective insert by a pressurizing gas via a connecting element that is moveable relative to the inserts for individually supplying pressurized gas to a respective one of the receptacles. A mechanism is provided for preventing a back stroke of the connecting element during supplying of the pressurizing gas and dispensing of the formulation.
Abstract: A lamp with a light emission element arranged in a light-emitting tube, external leads for supplying energy to the light emission element, an antioxidant layer covering said external leads, sealing portions sealing metal foils connected electrically to the external leads and a base fixed via an adhesive to said sealing portions. The adhesive that fixes the base does not directly contact the antioxidant layer since an intermediate layer made of a material which does not react with the alkali in the adhesive is provided at a periphery of the antioxidant layer of the external lead, and the base is fixed by the adhesive being provided at an outer periphery of the intermediate layer.

Abstract: A pretensioner is provided, of which the cylinder, including a restriction portion, can be inexpensively formed, the cylinder having the restriction portion for positioning a gas generation unit to be mounted to a cylinder, and a pretensioner manufacturing method for manufacturing such a pretensioner is provided. In the pretensioner, since the cylinder is molded by forging, an inexpensive material compared with a stainless pipe member can be used for the molding. In addition, since the positioning portion can be molded during forging-molding for molding the entire cylinder, cost can be reduced even in this regard.

The device has a core socket and a silicon socket cup placed inside the core socket to receive the amputated body part and a wireless transmitter Fob that includes a programmable microprocessor, a wireless radio transmitter IC board, an adjustable potentiometer, a momentary on and off switch, a light emitting diode and a DC power source. The wireless receiver module also includes a wireless processor printed circuit board, a battery and power supply, a thermocouple temperature probe and a heating coil.
Abstract: A design structure, structure, and method for providing an on-chip variable delay transmission line with a fixed characteristic impedance. A method of manufacturing a transmission line structure includes forming a signal line of the transmission line structure, forming a first ground return structure that causes a first delay and a first characteristic impedance in the transmission line structure, and forming a second ground return structure that causes a second delay and a second characteristic impedance in the transmission line structure. The first delay is different from the second delay, and the first characteristic impedance is substantially the same as the second characteristic impedance.

Abstract: A system and method for facilitating identification of an attacking computer in a network is provided. A user attempting to login to a network application may be presented with a screen prior to the login which lists preconditions of gaining access to the application. If a user concurs with the preconditions, a security module is downloaded to the user's computer and executed which gathers various configuration settings and transmits the gathered information to a predetermined destination. The security module may also attempt to place a call to a predetermined destination over a modem in the computer to cause registration of caller-ID data when answered at the predetermined destination. Once the security check is completed, login may proceed with the network application. Any data gathered by the security module may be stored for later recall and use to identify the computer in the event of an attack.

Abstract: A method for laying floor panels in a room to form a closed floor area on a laying plane (R) without using an adhesive. The floor panels especially comprising a wood material, such as MDF or HDF, and having matching corresponding profiles on opposite longitudinal edges (I, I?) and transverse edges (II, II?). The closed floor area is obtained by interconnecting a plurality of panels on their transverse edges (II, II?) to give a row (R1) and on their longitudinal edges (I,I?) to give a plurality of rows (Rn) and then locking them in relation to each other.
