Abstract: The subject invention concerns a novel process for controlling methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) microbes. The process comprises the use of organostannane-modified poly(vinyl alcohol) and naturally occurring small and large oxygen and/or nitrogen containing compounds, also referred to herein as modified tin-containing polymer (MTP) materials, to control MRSA microbes.
