  • Patent number: 8288637
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a contrabass guitar which oscillates the pitch of the guitar by the use of torsion. The strings of the guitar are adjusted by use of a torsion control means connected to a foot pedal to allow a player to easily adjust the pitch of the guitar while playing. The contrabass guitar includes a floating bridge and a stationary torsion block with a plurality of helically twisted tuning control rods attached. The floating bridge contains a plurality of pitch tuning cylinders connected on one end to respective strings and on the other to the tuning rods. The floating bridge moves along the body of the guitar in response to the torsion control means causing the tuning cylinders to slide over the tuning control rods and to rotate according to the twists of the rods creating greater or lesser torsion uniformly in the strings.

  • Patent number: 8205396
Abstract: A combination fascia cover system is provided including a base plate having a shorter portion for lying atop the roof edge and a longer portion at right angles to the first portion for overlying the upper sidewall and being attached thereto by threaded fasteners through a series of holes perforating the longer portion. The shorter portion of the base plate having, at its distal end, an upwardly extending flange for creating an upward spacing away from the roofing system and at end of the flange a partially reinforced pocket is formed by overlying folds to form the pocket. The cover plate is mounted over the base plate with a spring clip having uniquely spaced bends configured to match the dimensions of the base and cover plates, which spring clip engages the pocket, the base plate and the cover plate to retain the base and cover plates in tensioned spaced relationship while engaged together with one another.

  • Patent number: 7946041
Abstract: A hand saw including an ergonomically constructed saw blade holder with a pistol type grip, an elongated support having a blade channel for receiving and supporting a particular “T” blade, and various tooth configurations of a saw blade having a cooperating T-shaped blade shanks. Each blade shank includes an aperture at its rear end for receiving a locking pin positioned at the back end of the blade holder that drops into position to secure the blade within the channel of the grip. Additionally, a trigger-like mechanism on the pistol grip, when squeezed, rotates a rubber surfaced pad upward through an opening in the base of the support to contact the underside of the blade shank pushing it upward into the top of the channel to insure blade stability. The “T” design of the blade allows orienting the cutting surface of the blades in different directions so that a user does not have to twist their body or arm to saw.

  • Patent number: 6836997
Abstract: A floating fishing lure having the capability to adjust the buoyancy of the fish lure with a high degree of precision, such that the fish lure has fore and aft chamber sections connected and held together by an attaching means. Disposed on each fore and aft chamber sections are a plurality of buoyancy windows, one set of which will coincidentally overlie the other set of buoyancy windows as the fore chamber section is rotationally moved in regard to the aft chamber section. By changing the rotational placement of the two sections, valve aperture openings are produced that regulate the air to water ratio within the fish lure, thereby controlling its buoyancy. Additional fish attractors, hooks and illuminators can be added to the fishing lure.
