    Abstract: The aquatic ladder was designed for ease of use, rather than ease of storage. It has wide, deep treads, arranged like a staircase, with side and upper railings which make it easy to enter or exit the water, even by elderly people, tired individuals, those carrying aquatic equipment, such as SCUBA gear or water skis, and, even, by pets. In the preferred embodiment, the aquatic ladder includes upper railings which each have an inverted “U” shape, and the distal end of those railings have hinged brackets for mounting the aquatic ladder to an object to be boarded. In an alternative embodiment, the aquatic ladder is mounted on a sliding rail, such that it can be raised, vertically, from the water, when it is not being used. The vertical portions of the ladder are short, relative to the overall height of the ladder whereby less material is used to manufacture the ladder, while making its shipment and storage easier.

    Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for reducing the instance of friendly fire by having the weapon aiming system include means for emitting an optical signal encoded with the identity of the targeting soldier. The encoded optical signal is received by an optical receiver on a targeted soldier where it is converted into a low power RF signal which is transmitted to a local repeater that retransmits it, optionally using at least one intermediate repeater, to a central monitoring station equipped with a computerized database. If the monitoring station determines that the doubly encoded signal includes the identities of two friendly troops, it transmits a “hold fire” signal back to the aiming system, and a suitable signal, such as a red LED indicative of a “hold fire” order is illuminated.

However, each wearer of each article of footwear has the ability to “opt out” of the monitoring and tracking process whereby his privacy is maintained after work and during breaks. On the other hand management reports can be generated based on triggering events and based upon personnel who have chosen to “opt out” of the monitoring and tracking for extended periods of time.

The heatable pressure-baking and expansion mold comprises at least one movable mold element connected to powered driving system that moves the mold element upwardly and downwardly in a vertical direction. The raw material supply system comprises a sliding plate system for transporting a given quantity of raw material from a raw material source into the mold. The driving system comprises a hydraulic cylinder directly attached to the mold element. The vertical axis of the mold element and of the hydraulic cylinder falls substantially along the same vertical line. The hydraulic cylinder is connected to a central high-pressure oil feed line of a hydraulic oil pressure generator system that continuously delivers oil at a constantly high-pressure to the hydraulic drive cylinder.

    Abstract: An elongated tubular pesticide dispersion tube is fixed in place in the outer brick wall of a building having an inner structural wall. The dispersion tube can be installed in the mortar between courses of brick during construction or added to an existing structure by drilling a hole through the outer brick wall. A plug is used to seal the dispersion tube when the appliance is not actively being used as to inject a pesticide, an insecticide, or a chemical through the dispersion tube and into the gap between the outer brick wall and the inner structural wall. The method of using the novel appliance to inject a pesticide, an insecticide, or a chemical product into the gap between the outer brick wall and the inner structural wall, thereby sealing the area formed between them is also described.

The elongated seal is attached to the bottom surface of the exterior wall system, and it includes an extended, flexible, resilient seal which seals it against the outside of the foundation wall, thereby creating a pest treatment zone between the foundation wall and the lowest portion of said exterior siding material. Pesticide foam is injected into the pest treatment zone through holes which are spaced along the bottom of the seal or which extend through the exterior siding. The pesticide foam fills the pest treatment zone to provide perimeter protection.

In various embodiments, the invention can include sensors which are able to monitor physiological data of the wearer or the survivability of the ambient conditions where the footwear is located. Embodiments of the invention also provide the wearer with two-way communications capability.

    Abstract: The configurable adapter uses a relatively few components which allow it to be configured to have different heights to fit different switchboard cases. It includes a bracket designed to hold a particular type of meter or power monitor, with different brackets available to be assembled as a component of the configurable adapter. A new class of electricity revenue meters called a narrow base socket meter is described, and shown. The narrow base socket meter is adapted from a conventional socket meter which has a sufficiently narrow body by trimming its sides, top, and/or bottom, as necessary, to fit within the switchboard adapter, using a bracket which places the meter within the switchboard adapter so that its face can be flush with (or barely stick out from) the face of the switchboard. The adapter can also be used with standard socket base meters, which will stick out of the front of the switchboard panel, as well as with power monitoring devices by using suitable brackets, as described.
