Abstract: A weatherproof cover plate that may be installed horizontally and vertically is disclosed. In a weatherproof flat cover plate, an apron is provided to offer a water shield along at least two sides of the cover plate base. Additionally, a continuous ridge on the base is disclosed in association with a gasket and a biased hinge to provide additional protection against the weather. A novel locking clip is also disclosed. In a weatherproof bubble cover plate, a biased hinge is provided to bias the lid closed upon the base. Additionally, one or more cord catches in the base and knock-outs in the lid are disclosed. Other embodiments include bubble cover plates having gaps between the lid and the base to allow a cord to pass therethrough when the lid is close.

Abstract: A sizing bucket for use in excavation and particularly trench padding. Embodiments of the invention include an angled sizing member extending between a base plate and a back plate of the sizing bucket. An aperture extends through the base plate beneath the sizing member. The bucket further includes an extended scoop portion to assist in transporting material to be sized and a pre-sized material portion behind the sizing member for transporting pre-sized material. A particular embodiment of the invention includes a sizing member with graded mesh sizes. The sizing bucket of embodiments of the invention allow an excavator operator to lower and tie-in pipe in a trench, transport material to the trench, size the material, pad the trench, backfill the trench and clean-up the area around the trench without the need to change buckets or excavating equipment.
Abstract: A device for blocking or impeding the flow of water through the overflow drain of a bathtub of the type including a wall, an overflow drain opening in the wall, and a generally circular cover plate over the overflow drain opening, the cover plate having an annular skirt with at least one overflow opening in the annular skirt at the bottom of the cover plate. The device takes the form of a stopper including an arcuate surface configured so as to cover the overflow opening. The stopper is made of a material and is configured so as to be held in place, when water level in the bathtub is above the overflow opening, by water pressure or buoyancy only. As a result, the stopper, once held in place, falls away from the overflow opening when water level in the bathtub subsequently drops below the cover plate.
