Abstract: Disclosed is a system including a fuel conversion device for use with a conventional internal combustion engine having an engine control unit and electronic fuel injectors allowing a conventional vehicle to operate using more than one type of fuel. The system intercepts the ECU's command signals being transmitted to the injectors before they reach the injectors and modifies the signals for optimizing the combustion cycle depending upon the type of fuel used. The conversion device enables a conventional gasoline engine to run on an alternative fuel such as alcohol, gasoline, or any combination of the two.
Abstract: A wire bolt comprising an elongated section of wire rope with a section of threaded stud attached to each end is disclosed for use in reinforcing concrete structures. Part of the wire rope portion is coated with a substance to prevent that portion from bonding with the concrete. The threaded rod portion can be attached within the concrete by epoxy or attached to the concrete by appropriate mechanical means. The wire bolt can be attached to a concrete building structure during initial construction of a structure or retrofit into existing structures. Wire bolts should be installed in areas susceptible to shear or bending failure and serve to prevent the concrete sections from separating in a seismic event.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of continuously producing ethanol and electricity from a sustainable renewable biomass feedstock in a processing plant contiguous to the acreage providing the biomass. The process is a closed loop operation having a dedicated crop grown year round producing multiple crops per acre. The renewable biomass feedstock is a sugar containing feedstock such as sweet sorghum. The biomass is grown year round and produces multiple crops per acre.
Abstract: Disclosed is a decorative panel having a composite structure bonded by an elastomeric cementitious coating. The cementitious coating bonds together a foam core and glass fiber mesh to form a highly durable and lightweight decorative panel. The panel can further include a finish coat of a substantially maintenance free pigmented coating. The panel may be attachment to the exterior surface of barriers and bridges. The lightweight construction of the panel adds little weight to the structure it adorns while matching or exceeding the wear characteristics of the attached structure.
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for developing the upper body and in particular the chest. The apparatus includes opposed lever arms pivotally secured to each other at a fulcrum point located at the terminal ends of the opposed levers. The opposed lever arms are biased against each other and form a āVā shape. A counteracting force is needed to bring the handle ends of the levers together. The force required to bring the opposed handle ends together exercises the upper body of a user.
Abstract: Disclosed is both an apparatus and system for screeding a three dimensional panel including a screed clip for securing a guide bar to the panel for screeding a cementitious coating to a substantially uniform finish and level. The clips are used in combination and in series to support a guide bar. The clips are attached to the wire grid mats of a three dimensional panel to enable a less than skilled laborer to finish a cementitious coating applied to the panel.
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for generating energy through oscillatory motion requiring little input. Oscillatory motion is generated using a substantially circular trough containing a liquid, inflatable bags positioned below the trough and a movable weight. The trough is pivotally connected to a central point about which it oscillates. Sustained oscillatory motion is encouraged by inflating and deflating the bags in coordination with the movable weight within the trough and a biased member upon which the bags reside. The oscillatory motion may be captured and transferred to rotary motion which may be used to drive a generator.
Abstract: Disclosed is a reusable incontinence products treated with a polyethylene glycol formulation in the form of a pad that is worn by a user for the control and collection of bodily fluids. The pad may include two or more layers, wherein one layer absorbs the bodily fluid and the other layer acts as a barrier layer to prevent the fluid from soiling a user's garments. Further embodiments are disclosed including a folder for conveniently carrying a supply of fresh pads and a waterproof pocket to contain soiled pads, and a pant for holding the pads in place next to the skin.
Abstract: Disclosed is a removable bed covering assembly including both a fitted covering and a top covering which can be converted into a sleeping bag. The top covering is secured to the bed using a fitted covering attached to the mattress of the bed. The top covering and fitted covering can be attached to each via a zipper assembly. Once the top covering is removed it can be assembled into a sleeping bag via a second zipper assembly.
Abstract: A cap assembly structure has a sliding groove for attaching to the visor of a cap and a sliding anchor block attached to an accessory. The sliding groove, which has an inserting slot opening for receiving an I-shaped engaging slipper of the sliding anchor block, extends from the inserting slot opening end up to the other end such that the sliding groove has at least one ledge formed with a plurality of serrated notches for locking with the I-shaped engaging slipper to enable the wearer to assemble, disassemble, move and replace the accessories. The accessories can also be kept in holding elements when they are not in use.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of adding moisture to a double compressed bale. The method includes the steps of receiving a forage and separating the forage to form a separated forage. The method further includes applying a moisture stream to the separated forage to form a moisten forage. The moisten forage is then compacted to a density of greater than 20 pounds per cubic foot. Furthermore, the moisten forage may be compacted and reduced in volume from about 10:1 to 30:1.
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic module designed to use the locomotive engine's speed sensors to detect such changes in engine speed (rpm), as required by the locomotive operator moving the throttle notch handle. Once a speed change is detected, the module commands an air valve on each of the locomotive's main air reservoir tanks, (designed to handle the normal operating main reservoir air pressure), to open and allow them to discharge into the engine's intake manifolds located on both sides of the diesel engine.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid formulation and system for forming an air and moisture barrier for application to the sheathing behind exterior cladding of a structure. The air and moisture barrier includes a cementitious bond breaker for use in conjunction with a cementitious siding. The applied-liquid barrier forms a continuous-seamless structural barrier to both air and moisture while having vapor permeance.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of preparing a temperature adjustable textile. The textile includes most any substrate including knits, wovens, nonwoven and foams. The treated substrate can absorb and release heat at various critical temperatures depending upon the molecular weight used of a polyethylene glycol formation added to the textile.
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for lubricating a plunger residing within a bushing of a fuel injector. The apparatus includes a fuel lubrication mechanism comprised of lubrication grooves formed within and around the outer axial surfaces of the plunger. The grooves act as fuel reservoirs for storing a small portion of fuel on the outer axial surface of the plunger. The stored or retained fuel interfaces with the walls of the bushing during injection to provide a lubricated interface between the bushing and plunger. The lubricated interface increases the service life of the fuel injector by reducing seizing, scoring and scuffing caused by excessive heat.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel injection nozzle assembly comprising a poppet type valve assembly capable of producing a circumferential spray pattern. The fuel injection nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body defining a valve outlet into which is fitted a needle valve having a flanged portion extending from the nozzle body. The flanged portion opens and closes the valve outlet as the needle valve travels up and down the nozzle body as dictated by the fuel pressure within the nozzle body. The flanged portion may further direct the fuel spray into a combustion chamber.
