Abstract: A fluid filter is adapted for operatively mounting within a circuit of moving fluid in a machine. The fluid filter comprises a filter housing, and defines a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a filtration medium disposed within the filter housing between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. A temporary closure is designed for attachment at the fluid outlet of the fluid filter after the fluid filter is used and removed from the machine. The temporary closure functions to substantially contain residual fluid within the filter housing prior to subsequent processing of the used fluid filter.

Abstract: A vehicle mounted printer station is made up of a printer secured to a support surface tray that includes an adaptor capable of attaching the tray and printer to the top of a vehicle seat. The support surface is preferably a rectangular shaped plate with front, back and side edges along with top and bottom surfaces. The bottom surface is attached to the adaptor, the adaptor includes at least one attachment rod for securing the support surface to the vehicle seat. The attachment rods are sized to be received into receptacles provided in the top of a vehicle seat designed for the vehicle headrest.

Abstract: A medical dressing for an open wound includes a base, and a raised flexible therapeutic cover formed with base. The base has opposing inside and outside major surfaces, and continuous inside and outside peripheral edges. The inside peripheral edge defines a wound site opening and designed to surround the open wound. The raised-flexible therapeutic cover extends over and above the wound site opening defined by the inside peripheral edge. A compression spring resiliently spaces the therapeutic cover from the open wound.

Abstract: A computer-implemented land planning system is designed to generate at least one conceptual fit solution to a user-defined land development problem. The system electronically creates at least one candidate solution to the land development problem. The candidate solution incorporates a number of engineering measurements applicable in development of an undeveloped land site. A fitness function quantitatively evaluates the candidate solution based on its fitness. A heuristic problem-solving strategy manipulates the engineering measurements of the candidate solution to achieve a more quantitatively fit solution to the land development problem. A computer output device outputs to a user documentation illustrating the fit solution to the land development problem.

Abstract: A multiple-link tool assembly includes an elongated handle, an exchangeable extension link, and an exchangeable tool link. The exchangeable extension link has a first connecting end removably linked to the handle, and a second connecting end defining a sectioned cavity. The sectioned cavity includes a reduced-diameter internally serrated cavity section and an enlarged-diameter non-serrated cavity section. An adjustable geometric fitting having an externally serrated base is received and retained within the sectioned cavity. A spring is located within the non-serrated cavity section, and is adapted for normally urging the externally serrated base of the geometric fitting into the internally serrated cavity section. The exchangeable tool link has a proximal end removably joined to the geometric fitting of the extension link, and a fastener-engaging distal end adapted for engaging a threaded fastener.

Abstract: A convertible ballistic structure has a threat side and a protected side. The ballistic structure includes a body panel assembly, and at least one movable side panel assembly adjacent the body panel assembly. Means are provided for articulating the side panel assembly relative to the body panel assembly, whereby the ballistic structure is convertible between a contracted condition and an expanded condition. In the contracted condition, the side panel assembly extends rearwardly from the body panel assembly and outwardly from the protected side of the ballistic structure. In the expanded condition, the side panel assembly extends outwardly substantially coplanar to the body panel assembly.

Abstract: A generally barrel-shaped machine bed is designed for a textile sewing machine. The sewing machine is adapted for stitching together with thread multiple overlying plies of flexible ballistic fabric. The machine bed defines a substantially semi-cylindrical work surface, such that the stitched ballistic fabric substantially conforms to a curved shape of the work surface and substantially retains the curved shape when sewn.

The access platform defines a raised horizontal surface for supporting personnel at an elevated location adjacent a body of the tactical vehicle. A ballistic wall adjacent the access platform is adapted for residing a spaced distance from the body of the tactical vehicle to protect personnel staged on the access platform.

Abstract: An adjustable cup holder incorporates an elongated clamp assembly and cup support assembly. The clamp assembly has a proximal end and a distal clamping end. The cup support assembly is connected at the proximal end of the clamp assembly, and comprises a body portion and a pair of arcuate cup-encircling arms having respective spaced-apart free ends. A pivot pin enables pivot adjustment of the cup support assembly at the proximal end of the clamp assembly, such that the cup support assembly is movable between a desired in-use position depending from the clamp assembly, and a folded stowed position beside the clamp assembly. In the stowed position, the clamp assembly passes between the spaced-apart free ends of the cup-encircling arms and into an area defined between the cup-encircling arms.

A vehicle data communications protocol converter is preferably connected to the plurality of electrical conductors for converting a first data communications protocol associated with data communications along the plurality of electrical conductors to a second data communications protocol such as an infrared, an RF data, an Internet, or other network communications protocol.

Abstract: A modular plant tower assembly includes a self-supporting vertical framework of rigid vertical supports defining a relatively large base, and extending inwardly and upwardly from the base to a smaller top of the vertical framework. At least one horizontal closed-end framework includes rigid horizontal supports. The horizontal supports are interconnected at their respective ends, and surround the vertical framework at a location intermediate the base and the top. At least one of the horizontal supports forms a lateral bridge connector. A reinforcement webbing is attached to an outside of the flexible body, and incorporates an arrangement of spaced-apart longitudinal straps and spaced-apart lateral straps. At least one of the spaced-apart longitudinal straps extends substantially from one end of the flexible body to an opposite end of the flexible body, and is substantially continuously affixed along its length to the outside of the flexible body. At least two of the spaced-apart lateral straps substantial encircle the flexible body, and are substantially discontinuously affixed along their respective lengths to the containment bag.

Abstract: A multi-package yarn creel adapter mounts on a creel adjacent a textile machine. The yarn creel adapter includes a base designed for being carried by the creel. A plurality of radial spacers are attached to the base. A plurality of elongated package supports extend outwardly from respective radial spacers, and are adapted for carrying respective yarn packages to supply at least one end of yarn to the textile machine.
