Abstract: An exercise device includes a hollow housing and a plurality of loose weights contained in the housing. First and second handles are located on opposite sides of the housing. The handles are adapted for being gripped by a user to lift and hold the exercise device.

Abstract: A method is provided for preserving a perishable product contained in a sealed package. The package is adapted for being opened by a consumer to access the product and subsequently re-closed by the consumer for further storage of unused product remaining in the package. The method includes the step of, using a handheld applicator, applying a releasable contact adhesive to an area of the package adjacent to an opening therein formed by the consumer. The package is then folded at the opening such that a portion of the package contacts the adhesive to temporarily re-close the opening, thereby preserving the unused product inside the package.

Abstract: A promotional item includes a digital data storage disk adapted for inserting into a player for playback by a recipient. A disk carrier holds the data storage disk. The disk carrier cooperates with the data storage disk to form a novelty beverage coaster adapted for protecting an underlying surface. A moisture-absorbent plug is inserted into a center hole formed with the data storage disk, and is adapted for receiving and, transporting moisture away from a top side of the coaster.

Abstract: An anchorage safety device for steelworkers. The safety device is configured to be slidably coupleable to a flanged structural beam to which a lanyard may be attached to secure a workman against a fall. The anchorage device includes an elongate cross-member having a plurality of apertures formed there-through to allow adjustment of the anchorage device to accommodate various beams; a lanyard attachment apparatus, affixed to the mid-point of the cross-member, for receiving a clip of a workman's lanyard; and opposed first and second clamps for coupling the device to the flange of a beam. The clamps include a ratchet pawl having first and second teeth for selectively engaging the cross-member apertures. The worker needs only one hand to release the ratchet pawl from the apertures by simultaneously applying pressure on an enlarged engagement surface of the ratchet pawl and a clamp housing surface that is opposed to the enlarged engagement surface.

Abstract: Headwear is adapted for use by a patient to position airway tubes of a nasal interface operatively connected to a positive airway pressure device. The headwear includes an elongated head strap for being worn around a head of the patient. First and second tube holders are attached to the head strap, and adapted for engaging and holding respective airway tubes of the nasal interface to retain the tubes in a desired position during use. Each of the tube holders includes an elastic strip extending along a longitudinal dimension of the head strap. The elastic strip cooperates with the head strap to form an eye for receiving an airway tube of the nasal interface.

Abstract: A multi-piece vehicle wheel assembly includes a wheel center and a lightweight wheel rim. The wheel center defines a center hole and has an outer margin. The wheel rim has opposing inside and outside major surfaces. The outside major surface defines a rim bed for mounting a vehicle tire. The inside major surface includes an inwardly-extending annular shoulder. A plurality of circumferentially spaced rim bosses are formed with the annular shoulder of the rim, and are adapted for engaging the outer margin of the wheel center. A corresponding plurality of circumferentially spaced fastener holes are formed along the outer margin the wheel center, and are adapted for aligning with the rim bosses formed with the rim. A plurality of fasteners are received through the aligned rim bosses and fastener holes to attach the rim and the wheel center together.

Abstract: A pet chew toy includes a relatively hard outer shell formed of dried and shaped animal skin. A relatively soft flavored and scented meat product is encapsulated within the outer shell. The meat product promotes aggressive sustained chewing of the toy to exercise the jaws of the pet and clean its teeth and gums.

Abstract: A drawer assembly includes a drawer having a bottom wall, first and second opposing end walls, and first and second opposing side walls. The end and side walls cooperate to define an open top for receiving and removing contents. First and second longitudinal top rails are formed with respective first and second side walls. A removable lid covers the open top of the drawer in a first assembly configuration. The lid has first and second opposing major surfaces, first and second opposing end edges, and first and second opposing side edges. The side edges of the lid include respective longitudinal channels adapted for receiving the longitudinal top rails of the drawer to slide the lid over the open top. An indent is formed with at least one of the first and second longitudinal top rails of the drawer. A detent is formed with at least one of the first and second longitudinal channels of the lid.

Abstract: A dash box is provided in a recreation vehicle including an occupant area, a cowl extending forward of the occupant area, and first and second spaced-apart front support posts extending upwardly from the cowl. The dash box includes a housing adapted for mounting between the first and second support posts of the vehicle. The housing includes joined walls which define a plurality of divided compartments for holding and storing items. The compartments are readily accessed by an occupant seated in the occupant area of the vehicle. A cowl-engaging stabilizing base carries the housing, and has a generally wedge-shaped portion adapted to fit within a space between the first and second support posts and a rear edge of the cowl.

Abstract: A wheel centering adapter for being applied to an elongated mounting shaft designed for extending through a center hole of a vehicle wheel. The centering adapter cooperates with a clamping assembly to align and center the wheel relative to the shaft. The centering adapter includes an adapter body defining a cylindrical through-bore designed to receive the mounting shaft. A protective liner is formed adjacent the through-bore of the adapter body and has a non-abrasive surface for protecting the mounting shaft from wear upon application and removal of the centering adapter.

Abstract: A leverage assembly is used in combination with an elongated hand tool. The hand tool has a first end adapted for engaging an object and a second end opposite the first end. The leverage assembly includes an adapter bar having first and second ends. A U-bolt attaches the first end of the adapter bar to the second end of the hand tool. A leverage bar engages the second end of the adapter bar. A receptacle is formed with the adapter bar for receiving the leverage bar. The leverage bar, adapter bar, and hand tool cooperate to multiply a force applied by the user to the object to manipulate the object.

Abstract: A cover assembly for a foldable sleeping mat includes a mat case with top and bottom fabric panels having joined side edges and joined end edges. The bottom panel defines a lateral opening receiving the sleeping mat inside the mat case. A blanket is attached to one end of the mat case, and has a free end adapted for covering a user lying on the sleeping mat. A pocket is provided for releasably holding the free end of the blanket to the mat case with the blanket in a substantially spread out condition over the sleeping mat. The blanket, mat case, and sleeping mat are folded together in overlying sections when storing the sleeping mat for later use.

Abstract: A vehicle wheel balancer obtains data relative to the imbalance of a vehicle wheel. The wheel balancer includes a rotatable shaft having a free end adapted for extending through a center hole of the wheel, and a proximal end opposite the free end. A locating hub is carried on the shaft, and is adapted for engaging a first side of the wheel to locate the wheel on the balancer. A centering sleeve is carried on the shaft adjacent the locating hub, and is adapted for extending through the center hole of the wheel to center the wheel relative to the shaft. The centering sleeve is releasably locked onto the wheel balancer, such that the centering sleeve remains secured to the wheel balancer upon removal of the wheel from the shaft.
