Abstract: The present invention relates to a new industrial feasible process for the preparation of Gabapentin Form-II via a novel intermediate Gabapentin hemisulphate hemihydrate with out forming Gabapentin Form-III by neutralizing the Gabapentin hemisulphate hemihydrate solution with a base at higher temperatures followed by cooling to yield Gabapentin Form II with sulphate ions less than 100 ppm with respect to Gabapentin.
Abstract: A compactly constructed guide system has a run surface for guiding the run of the chain rollers. To guide the sides of the steps, a sliding pin arranged on a step rests on a side surface. A counter-surface serves as a counter-guide for the chain rollers and prevents the chain links from being pushed together. By means of an encapsulation, the step rollers, the chain links, and the running surface can be protected from dirt, dust, water, objects, etc. For run guidance of the step roller, a running surface is provided. An oil collecting channel prevents dripping of lubricating oil. The guide system rests on a bracket plate projection and is releasably connected to the bracket plate. The single-piece guide system is simple and efficient to install and can be accurately positioned at the sides against stops.

Abstract: An escalator or moving walk has a truss that is supported in the area of its extreme ends. In the area between its two extreme ends, the truss has at least one tension element which, at a first end, is connected mechanically to the truss, and at a second end is connected to a fastening point. The tension element is constructed and tensioned such that it exerts a tensile force on the truss that acts at least partly in the direction of the earth's gravitational force.
Abstract: Provided with a glass composition including a network-former oxide composed of any one of or both of B2O3 and V2O5 of 20-80% by weight, ZnO of 0-60% by weight and BaO of 0-80% by weight, wherein at least one of ZnO and BaO is included as an essential ingredient. The present invention is a glass material for use in sealing, which is of lead-free series, can be used for sealing at a low processing temperature and within a wide temperature range, has a low thermal expansion coefficient, superior adhesion, superior sealing processability, superior adherence, superior chemical stability, superior strength and the like and comprises sufficient practical performance to substitute for lead glass.
Abstract: A pet collar in which a leash attachment is connected to a back edge of the collar band, at a location generally opposite to the collar buckle, and extends rearwardly from the back edge, leaving the entire area of the collar band unobstructed by the leash attachment. Decorative elements can be attached to the collar in the region of the leash attachment, either directly or by means of a slide strip, without visual obstruction by, or mechanical interference from the leash attachment. The pet owner thus has a clear view the decorative elements when walking the pet on a leash.
Abstract: An improved tweezers, particularly adapted for grasping small parts, has a first arm and a second flexible arm joined together at first ends to form a pair of tweezer jaws at second ends. A flexing of the flexible arm is accommodated as by incorporation of an arcuate portion of the first arm such that, when the arm is flexed by the application of a force, the jaw end of the flexible arm is displaced from jaw end of the first arm to open the tweezer jaws. When the force is removed, the flexible jaw returns to a rest position to apply a gripping force to an object between the jaws.
Abstract: A display bar assembly for mounting on spaced apart slotted uprights on a merchandising gondola or the like. A tubular display bar of polygonal cross section is fitted with a pair of mounting brackets, which are slidable along the bar to enable spacing of the mounting brackets to agree with the spacing between the slotted uprights, which can be somewhat variable. The mounting brackets are formed with openings which closely and non-rotatably receive the display bar and are provided with hook-like tabs which engage slots in the uprights. Flanged end plugs are received tightly in each end of the display bar to prevent removal of the slidable brackets, such that the display bar and bracket form a permanent assembly. The mounting brackets may have multiple hook-like tabs for installation on uprights of different thicknesses.
Abstract: The present invention automatically detects the onset of instability of an elevator active ride control system and activates a system shutdown if it occurs. As an elevator car is guided along rails by guide elements, a plurality of sensors mounted on the car measure vibration transverse to a direction of travel. The signals from the sensors are input to a controller which in turn produces a controller output signal. This signal is used to energize an actuator positioned between the car and the guide elements and thereby dampen the vibrations acting on the car. As instability sets in, a controller signal increases. The controller signal is monitored by a comparator such that the actuator is deactivated if the controller signal becomes greater than a predetermined value.
Abstract: A wheel for driving a flexible handrail of an escalator or moving walk. The wheel can be turned about an axis of rotation and has a readily elastically deformable layer. The readily elastically deformable layer is formed by a body that is stable in form when free of stress. Arranged adjacent to an inner circumferential surface of the readily elastically deformable layer is an inner layer that is stiffer than the readily elastically deformable layer. Adjacent to an outer circumferential surface of the readily elastically deformable layer is an outer layer that is intended to rest against the handrail under static friction. Respective adjacent layers are coupled to each other in non-rotating manner.
Abstract: A display kiosk, which has particular utility as a consumer ballot or survey box, has a receptacle supported by a leg assembly. The receptacle has front and back walls joined together a their lateral edges by stiffeners, thus avoiding the need for separate side walls. Top and bottom walls are formed integrally with one of the front or back walls. The lateral edges of the front wall are retained by, but not fastened to, the stiffeners, allowing overlying front panel sheets to be mounted to the front wall by inserting their lateral edges between the front surface of the front wall and the overlying rear surface of the stiffeners. When used as a ballot or survey box, a ballot slot is provided on the front wall and an integral access door to the receptacle interior is located on the front wall.
Abstract: A clip for joining bearing elements, such as found in escalator constructions may be employed, for example, to join a track rail, on which rollers of an escalator roll to a carrier frame. The clip has a base part and a bracket part of spring steel. At the upper end of each side, the base part has a shoulder to engage one of the elements to be joined. The bracket part has a lug which engages the other element to be joined and, through a further lug, presses the shoulders of the base part against the first element to retain the two elements in the desired contacting position.

Abstract: A child seat (10) with a seat shell (12) and with a backrest (14) is described. The seat shell (12) is designed with a lap-belt guide (18) for a vehicle lap belt. The backrest (14) has a head restraint (20) with lateral flanks (22), a respective diagonal-belt guide (26) for a vehicle diagonal belt of a vehicle three-point belt being provided on the lateral flanks (22). The diagonal-belt guide has a slot (28) which is open to the front, does not clamp the belt and has a belt-retaining section (30). The belt-retaining section (30) directly and immediately adjoins the front-side slot opening (32) of the slot (28). A spring-loaded closure element (34) is provided on the front-side slot opening (32), the closure element enabling the vehicle diagonal belt to be threaded in a simple manner through the slot opening (32) into the slot (28) and blocking the slot opening (32) in its normal closure position in a spring-loaded, prestressed manner.
