Abstract: A precast under floor air delivery construction is provided which includes a plurality of precast concrete system having an upper base floor surface and a lower surface, a plurality of floor panel support means bearing directly to the upper base floor surface capable of an under floor air delivery between the floor panels and the upper surface, a plurality of access floor panels connected to the support means, and a fire protection barrier applied between the concrete slabs.
Abstract: A windshield wiper is provided which includes a wiper frame; a scraper having an upper and a lower surface defining opposite leading edges, the upper surface connected to the wiper frame, wherein the wiper frame and scraper form an assembly having a means for rotation about a fixed point relative to a wiper arm; and at least one wiping blade connected to the lower surface of the scraper.
Abstract: In a motor vehicle wherein a rear view mirror is attached in a spaced relationship to an interior of a windshield by a support arm disposed intermediately between a pair of spaced sun visors, in combination, a sun visor is provided which includes a panel envelope formed of an elastic material defining a predetermined perimeter of a predetermined expanse having front and back surfaces, a single closed loop of a spring-like material located about the an interior perimeter of the envelope, the loop dimensioned to have an expanse which is greater than the expanse of the envelope so as to stretch the envelope, and wherein a compliant compressive spring force of the loop retains the sun visor between a roofline adjacent to the interior of the windshield and the support arm while the vehicle is in motion.
Abstract: A rear bicycle suspension has a main frame including a seat riser tube, a down tube, head tube, and a bottom bracket housing having left and right sides, a guide arm and a shock mount attached to the main frame, a pair of swing arm assemblies each one in pivotal attachment on either side of the main frame at a first pivot point and to a bell crank at a second pivot point, the swing arms in rearward extension form the first and second pivot points to at least one rear swing arm attachment point, and further including a lever arm connected between the first and the second pivot points, a guide arm having first and second ends wherein the first end in pivotal attachment to the guide arm bracket at a fifth pivot point and the second end extends upward and rearward from the fifth pivot point, wherein the bell crank is pivotally connected between the lever arms at the second pivot point and to the guide arm at a third pivot point, a shock absorbing member in pivotal attachment at one end to the shock mount and at a
Abstract: A decorative article is provided having an optically transparent solid material, having top, bottom, front, back and side surfaces, an opaque material covering the back, side and top surfaces, and an image inside the transparent material defined by etch points having a convex exterior surface facing the back surface and a concave interior surface facing the front surface.
Abstract: A portable, hand held exhaust pipe cutter having an air motor to drive a cutting wheel arranged parallel to a drive shaft of the air motor by an angle head gearing device. The cutter makes straight cross-sectional cuts through cylinders by using a feed lever pivotally attached to the air motor that engages the cylinders to be cut and guides them into engagement with the cutting wheel. The feed lever on an opposing end includes a handle that extends along the air motor so that a user can grip both the control lever of the air motor and the handle of the feed lever simultaneously with a single hand.
Abstract: An omni-directional wheel is provided which includes a frame having an upper portion for affixing the frame to an under-side of a weight bearing surface, at least two side walls, and a central cavity defined by the side walls for receiving at least one spherical wheel, at least two wheel bearings connected in axial alignment to the side walls for rotation of the wheel about a fixed axis, at least two wheel seats each having one side in axial connection to the wheel bearings and an opposite conical face wherein the conical faces are disposed in opposite axial alignment for mounting the wheel between the faces and a force of static friction is exerted relative to the conical faces and the wheel when the wheel is rotating about the fixed axis and a force of kinetic friction is exerted relative to the conical faces and the wheel when the wheel is rotating about an axis perpendicular to the fixed axis, and an upper load bearing connected to the frame which bias against an upper surface of the wheel.
Abstract: A bed harness for a pet, has a ventral strap, collar strap, and a girth strap, the ventral strap connected between the collar and the girth straps, a stay having a first and second end, the first end attached to the ventral strap at a point in close proximity to the girth strap, a bed having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a central vertical shaft through the surfaces for receiving the second end through the surfaces, and a device for stopping the second end from releasing back through the shaft, the stopping device attached near the second end of the stay at a distance from the first end which allows the pet to sit or stand on, but not move from, the upper surface of the bed. In this manner, the weight of the pet restrains the animal to the desired location of the bed.
Abstract: A portable curb inlet sediment filter which has a box filter frame and a primary baffle panel defining a filter chamber, to be filled with a particulate filter medium, such as gravel, for sediment removal, and an overflow chamber. The overflow chamber has at least one overflow baffle panel in order to provide a hydraulic opening and a peripheral end cap chamber. The end cap chamber is gravel filled in order to clarify water escaping around the front of the frame and into the hydraulic opening through the side panel. The filter frame and baffle panels are a mesh construction having apertures smaller in size than the particles of gravel to be contained.
