Abstract: It is one object of the present invention to reduce the number of inputs to an LCD driver and to reduce manufacturing costs by employing the COG&WOA technique. For a liquid crystal display device, source driver ICs 20, among which video signals are transmitted and distributed via a video I/F 3, are cascade-connected, and the connection lines to the source driver ICs 20 are reduced as much as possible to employ the COG&WOA technique. That is, a liquid crystal display device comprises: a liquid crystal cell 2, which forms an image display area on a substrate, and a source driver 7, which applies a voltage to the liquid crystal cell 2 based on a video signal input via a video I/F 3. The source driver 7 includes a plurality of source driver ICs 20 that are mounted on the same substrate as the liquid crystal cell 2 and that are cascade-connected by signal lines.
Abstract: A bipolar electrosurgical instrument having an improved pivot screw design is disclosed. The bipolar electrosurgical instrument has a first half which has a first pivot surface and a first bore. The first bore has a first stepped portion and an elongated portion proximate to the first pivot surface. A second half has a second pivot surface and a second bore having a second stepped portion. An insulating material is disposed on the first pivot surface and the elongated portion of the first bore. A first insert having a third bore in which the third bore has first threads is disposed in the second bore and prevented from entering the first bore by the second stepped portion. A second insert having a fourth bore is disposed in the second bore between the second stepped portion and the first insert and prevented from entering the first bore by the second stepped portion.

Abstract: Multi-coordinate measuring and testing machine which is essentially constituted from a fundamental machine unit, a scanning or sensing system which is movable in at least two coordinate directions, and a machine-controlling unit. The scanning or sensing system is constructed as a multi-sensor system and is constituted from a mechanical sensing head or probe with at least one stylus and/or a video scanner and/or a laser scanner which are controlled from a microprocessor and operate independently of each other, and which are selectively either individually actuatable by means of software connected thereto, or can be coupled to each other in a dual or triple combination.
Abstract: A quick release coupling device for securing end flanges of two adjacent pipes includes a clamp assembly. The clamp assembly has a plurality of clamping members disposed to straddle the two end flanges therearound so as to generally circumscribes the two end flanges. Each clamping member either has a spring or is of spring nature for resiliently urging the clamping member radially outwardly of the end flanges. The clamp assembly also has a plurality of connecting members for connecting respective adjacent pairs of clamping members so as to form an annulus provided a gap between two end clamping members. Coupling means is disposed in the gap for releasably connecting one end clamping member and the other end clamping member against the bias of the clamping members so as to complete the annulus.
