Abstract: Installation of a flexible cured in place liner by inverting the liner with air and curing the liner with steam introduced through a perforated lay flat hose without deflating the liner between the inversion and cure. The installation is performed with an apparatus having two independently operable glands with at least one fluid inlet port installed on the line downstream of the second gland liner. As the liner reaches the distal end of the conduit to be lined, it enters a sample and porting pipe with an exhaust pipe gland and exhaust pipe and it is pierced by a rigid porting tool. Steam is then introduced into the lay flat hose to cure the resin and is exhausted through an exhaust hose connected to a controllable exhaust pipe. After curing steam is replaced with air to cool the liner, the ends are cut to restore service through the host pipe.

Abstract: The invention concerns high sensitivity light scattering detection and its application to evaporative light scattering detection in liquid chromatography. The exemplary embodiment includes a detection cell to accept particles suspended in a gas stream and permit a polarized light beam to pass through a trajectory of the particles and gas stream. A sample light detector is disposed to detect light scattered in the detection cell. A light trap accepts the polarized beam after it passes through the detection cell. The light trap includes an elongated housing through which the polarized beam passes, and light absorptive material within the elongated housing. An absorptive filter is aligned such that the angle of incidence of the light beam upon the filter approximates Brewster's angle and the electric field vector of the beam is aligned with the plane of incidence between the beam and the filter. Other embodiments of the invention provide increased light collection.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a process for preparing the alkoxylated alkylamines and/or alkyl ether amines. The process consists of three stages, and utilizes an alkali catalyst. The alkoxylated alkyl amines and alkoxylated alkyl ether amines prepared by the process possess the peaked distribution and contain less hazardous by-product.

Abstract: A hot tap clamp. The clamp includes a first clamp part, a second clamp part, a fastener for stable fastening of the clamp parts around a section of a pipeline provided with a hot tap coupling, a pipe socket fixedly integrated with one of the clamp parts at an inner end and extending outward from the clamp part to an outer end, a hub on the outer end of the pipe socket, the pipe socket at the inner end going through the clamp part abutting the surface of the pipeline, such that the pipe socket can be sealingly welded to the pipeline by internal welding.

Abstract: A plug-and-socket connector with a base strip for a printed circuit board connection and with a male connector having a socket housing projecting on its insertion side having a right-angle cross-sectional base form and opposite longitudinal sides corresponding to this base form and a front side between them. Insertion openings of plug receivers for contact elements are arranged in series in the longitudinal direction of the front side. The plug receivers are parallel extend to the front side and are permanently arranged on the base strip in an alignment corresponding to the insertion openings. A guide element for connecting the base strip to the male connector is provided in a mounted state of the male connector on the base strip between two insertion openings of the male connector and two plug receivers of the base strip corresponding to the two insertion openings.

Abstract: Application setting virtualization for a user. Application settings from a source computer are copied to a user-specific location on a destination computer and layered under corresponding application settings associated with one or more applications installed on the destination computer. In response to receiving a request from an application for an application setting, the requested application setting is retrieved from the layered application settings such that the layers are searched in order for the requested application setting and the first application setting found is retrieved and returned to the requesting application.

Abstract: Propagating messaging preferences of one or more users from a recipient mailbox to a perimeter network administering e-mail content blocking and routing. A content filtering application located outside a trusted network receives messaging preferences information from within the trusted network regarding the mail recipients. This messaging preferences information may be utilized to allow certain pre-authorized messages from particular senders to bypass content filtering. Moreover, the messaging preferences information may be hashed to further protect the information on the perimeter network and to speed in review and comparison of the messaging preferences information. In addition, other types of user-specific information may be propagated to the perimeter network for use with other applications other than messaging.

A button post has a first toothed-collar defining the opening edge with protrusive blocks disposed above. An actuation assembly includes a rotary tube, a spring element, and an insert seat. The rotary tube has a second toothed-collar equipped with high and low stop surfaces, and a conjoining cavity at the bottom. The insert seat has a screw-threaded bore disposed at the bottom. A push rod has a rod body defined by an external-threaded section and identically shaped like the conjoining cavity thereof. Abstract: Implementing synchronization among threads in a workflow. A memory area stores a plurality of work items in a scheduler queue. The work items are associated with an activity in the workflow, and each work item is associated with a thread. A processor is configured to assign a synchronization handle to each of the work items. The synchronization handle indicates a particular shared resource to be accessed by the work items. A token value is computed for each work item based on the assigned synchronization handle and the work items in a hierarchy in the activity. The work items are sorted in a synchronization queue based on the token value associated with each work item. The processor sequentially executes each of the sorted work items in the synchronization queue to serialize the access to the particular shared resource and effects a synchronous execution of the threads associated with the work items.

Abstract: A pneumatic rotary tool comprises a housing, a square drive output member supported by the housing for rotational movement, and a pneumatic motor disposed in the housing for driving rotation of the square drive. A valve is disposed in the housing for rotary movement between a first position in which pressurized air powers the motor in a forward direction and a second position in which pressurized air powers the motor in a reverse direction. An actuator supported on the housing for translational movement is connected to the valve by a lost motion connection system. The lost motion connection system comprises first and second connector elements that are engaged for generally conjoint movement in a first direction and for relative sliding movement in a second direction generally perpendicular to the first direction.

A particular payload is selected for delivery to the particular target as a function of the particular characteristics and as a function of the payload priorities.

Abstract: An electrical mascara brush structure includes a brush body having a chamber to hold an electrical motion component at one end and a brush rod with a brush at the other end. The electrical motion component includes a first shell and a second shell fully enclosing a power supply, a motor with a rotating shaft, and a circuit board. The circuit board includes a power control element and a variable speed control element. The electrical motion component is connected with a rotary unit disposed at the external of the first shell and the second shell. The rotary unit includes external teeth which matches with receiving teeth disposed at an interior of a handle, which can activate the electrical motion component and adjust the speed of the motor.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides in a first aspect a mode-locked laser for generating laser pulses. The mode-locked laser comprises an optical coupler and a first optical path capable of carrying optical signals from and to the optical coupler. The first optical path includes an optical amplifier that is arranged so that saturation of optical amplification causes amplitude modulation of the light. The optical amplifier has a saturation time that is shorter than a pulse transition period of the mode-locked laser and is arranged for recovery of amplifying properties after the saturation within a period of time that is shorter than the pulse transition period of the mode-locked laser. The laser further comprises a second optical path capable of carrying optical signals from and to the optical coupler. The second optical path includes an optical isolator.

Abstract: A printer, scanner device and methods for using same are described herein. A printer device may include a dedicated input that, when actuated, generates and sends a request to a computer for known data or a predetermined print job, e.g., schedule information from a personal information management (PIM) application. A scanner device may include another dedicated input that, when actuated, automatically scans a document fed to the device by the user and sends the scanned image to IM (or other) software on a computer, bypassing the need to manipulate the scanned image using scanner software. The device may be used with printed metapaper, which includes a barcode or other indicia identifying the metapaper and corresponds to a stored template image of the metapaper. When the metapaper is rescanned, the scan can be compared to the stored template information to identify changes and synchronize the changes with the IM software.

Abstract: “Automatically presenting content to an occupant of a vehicle as the vehicle traverses a route (e.g., during a test drive or other drive event). Content items are associated with data tags placed throughout the route. A data tag reader on the vehicle reads each data tag as the vehicle traverses the route, and the content item associated with the read data tag is presented to the occupant of the vehicle. Audio and/or video of the occupant may be captured and stored on a computing device remote from the vehicle. The captured audio and/or video represents feedback from the occupant during the drive event.

Abstract: A mine refuge for use in a mine includes a chamber having an interior space sized and shaped for occupancy by at least one person. An oxygen supply is installed in the chamber for supplying oxygen to the chamber. A mask is operatively connected to the oxygen supply and is adapted for donning by the person to supply oxygen to the person. In some embodiments, an air supply in addition to the oxygen supply is provided.

The first module renders the web space on a client accessing the web space. The server enables a visitor to the web space to access a second module form the plurality of modules associated with the service. The accessed second module will display the web space in a second format on the client of the visitor.

Abstract: Identification of software configuration data. One or more binary files from a memory area in a computing device are identified. The binary files include information relating to execution of software. One or more strings from the identified binary files are extracted according to a rule. The rule defines requirements associated with the configuration data. A list of strings is generated from those extracted one or more strings, each of the strings in the generated list refers to configuration data in the memory area. The configuration data may be transferred to another machine, backed up, or used for informational purposes.
