  • Patent number: 8306636
Abstract: An operator interface terminal receives individual data points from a machine at individual time points. The operator interface terminal correlates the individual data points to the individual time points as the data points are received. The operator interface terminal transfers the data points correlated to the time points to a central information system. The operator interface terminal receives a control instruction from an operator. The operator interface terminal processes the control instruction to transfer a control signal to the machine, wherein the control signal drives the machine to operate based on the control instruction.

  • Patent number: 8292531
Abstract: The cosmetics unit comprises a storage container for receiving a cosmetic substance therein, an applicator that can be immersed into the cosmetic substance, and an adjustable wiper part unit disposed on a container opening of the storage container, for wiping off cosmetic substance from the applicator. The wiper part unit comprises a deformable wiper, a neck part, and an adjustment sleeve accessible from the outside. The wiper is disposed between the container opening and the neck part. The adjustment sleeve encloses the container opening, the wiper and, partially, the neck part. The adjustment sleeve is rotatably mounted on the neck part as well as on the storage container, so that an axial distance between the container opening and the neck part, an axial dimension of the wiper, and a surface area of a wiper opening of the wiper can be altered by a rotational movement of the adjustment sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8091270
Abstract: The present invention relates to fishing lures equipped with one or more light sources interacting and/or interfacing with one or more light transmission mediums. The light transmission medium acts to illuminate one or more areas proximate to the fishing lure to provide a natural luminance or iridescence. The light transmission medium can be made from a flexible translucent hot melt thermoplastic material extruded into a polymer lens and can be located on an outer surface of a body of the fishing lure or inside the body of the fishing lure. The light transmission medium can also be provided in the form of a soft flexible component made from Plastisol or other similar translucent materials. The light source can be embedded in or located proximate to the light transmission medium to amplify, intensify, and/or disperse light along the light transmission medium to provide a natural looking luminescence to the fishing lure.

  • Patent number: 8047037
Abstract: The invention relates to a shaping tool which is used to shape a workpiece, in particular, a sheet steel component, comprising at least two shaping tool halves. Contoured regions are provided in the region of the shaping tool halves in order to give the workpiece a corresponding contour, at least in sections. Each shaping tool half has a shaping surface shell which is oriented towards the workpiece and a support shaping half. The shaping surface shell is arranged on the support shaping half and comprises a shaping surface, which is oriented towards the workpiece, and a rear side which is oriented away from the workpiece. The support shaping half comprises a contoured area which essentially corresponds to the contour of the workpiece which is to be produced and the contoured area is surrounded by a flange area. Grooves are provided in the contoured area in the region of the rear side of the shaping surface shell.

  • Patent number: 7938949
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a hardened profiled structural part from a hardenable steel alloy with cathodic corrosion protection. The method includes applying a coating to a sheet made of a hardenable steel alloy, wherein the coating comprises zinc, and the coating further comprises one or several elements with affinity to oxygen in a total amount of 0.1 weight-% to 15 weight-% in relation to the total coating. After applying the coating, the coated sheet steel is roller-profiled in a profiling device, so that the sheet tape is formed into a roller-formed profiled strand. Thereafter, the coated sheet steel is brought, at least in parts and with the admission of atmospheric oxygen, to a temperature required for hardening and is heated to a structural change required for hardening. A skin made of an oxide of the element(s) with affinity to oxygen is formed on the surface of the coating.
