  • Patent number: 7464766
Abstract: A self-metering, automatic (i.e. pressure regulating) industrial-scale fire fighting nozzle, with or without self-eduction, for self-metering a concentrate in accordance with varying liquid flow through the nozzle occasioned by the pressure regulating, with additional features of having a “ratio selectable” means for self-metering for different selected additive concentrations or mixing ratios and of having a mechanical flowmeter.

  • Patent number: 7429295
Abstract: A water-based mixture of multi compounds was invented for the purposes of treating and providing an ultimate protection for large areas of concrete pavements against moisture and moisture-associated problems. The mixture preferably works from within the concrete as well as at the surface. A water-repelling function prevents water from penetrating the concrete matrix. A hygroscopic and hydrophilic behavior of its crystallization system within a concrete matrix minimizes moisture transmission through capillaries and connected voids. As a result, the mixture promises to provide a permanent treatment for moisture related problems, such as damage caused by repeated freeze and thaw cycles and chloride ion penetration as from deicing salts, as well as a permanent treatment for the so-called alkali-silica reactions.

  • Patent number: 7430453
Abstract: A system comprising a local site served by at least one remote site in digital logic communication therewith, the system further comprising mode selection logic including a hierarchy that prioritizes modes available at the local site. The hierarchical priority of a particular mode that may be selected at the local site or at any one of the remote sites determines the mode in which the local site will operate, further depending on the current mode selection state at other remote or local sites. A presently preferred embodiment of the invention is a valve actuator having three-way local mode selection capability (local/remote/off), where such mode control is additionally served by at least one remote site connected via a serial link to the local site of the actuator. In this exemplary embodiment, a hierarchy prioritizes these modes in the following order of high priority to low priority: (1) off; (2) local; (3) remote.
