Abstract: A system method for determining whether a location on a patient's body is available for an attachment and/or consumable is provided. A patient identifier is received and the patient's electronic medical record is accessed. An interactive graphical representation of at least a portion of a human body may be displayed. A selection of a location of the patient's body from the interactive graphical human body representation may be received and it is determined whether the location is available for an attachment and/or consumable.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for facilitating placement of health care order entry is provided. The method includes receiving input indicative of a desired healthcare order. The order has certain terms therein that are normalized. The method also finds possible order matches for the normalized terms, and calculates a rough score for the possible order matches. The method refines the rough score with a rough score adjustment, and then ranks the found possible order matches from the most-likely to match the desired order to the least-likely based upon the refined rough score. These possible order matches can then be displayed to the user for selection.

Abstract: A system that can enable the atomization of application functionality in connection with an activity-centric system is provided. The system can be utilized as a programmatic tool that decomposes an application's constituent functionality into atoms thereafter monitoring and aggregating atoms with respect to a particular activity. In doing so, the functionality of the system can be scaled based upon complexity and needs of the activity. Additionally, the system can be employed to monetize the atoms or activity capabilities based upon respective use.

Abstract: Architecture that facilitates validation of a data mapping of data from a data source to a data target. There is included a signature generation component that generates a source signature of all or a portion of the data source and a target signature of all or a corresponding portion of the data target, and a sampling component that obtains a sample of the source data a corresponding sample of the target data. The data signatures and data samples are compared respectively and processed with a processing component to determine the status of the validation process.

Abstract: A system and process for harvesting context information from selected content is described. One may use a stylus to indicate what content is to be captured. The context information that may be associated with selected content may include URLs, file names, folder names, text from the content, and ink.

Abstract: Sporting items such as soccer balls include a casing region and a graphic region that are defined by enhanced-visibility colors (EVCs) that are substantially complementary. Such EVCs can be selected to avoid colors associated with color confusion in color deficient individuals. In addition, such colors can be selected based on total reflectances to obtain a predetermined luminance contrast. EVCs can be selected based on separations of color coordinate locations using CIE chromaticity coordinates or CIE L-a-b coordinates or otherwise selected. Color selection can include consideration of anticipated viewing backgrounds in a general setting, or colors can be customized for a particular location and particular illumination conditions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and methodology for resource query management. The system includes a resource manager, a query engine and a filter component. The system facilitates construction and management of a resource query across resource type(s) that may be similar, different, incongruent and/or distinct. Accordingly, an SQL environment is leveraged to perform efficient, complex and intensive queries and/or operations using resource query constraint(s) from a resource constraint(s) store and the filter component over large set(s) of resources from the resource pool.

Abstract: Systems and methods useful in communicating messages over a peer-to-peer network, optionally over transient connections to participants in a collaborative session (e.g., an “electronic whiteboard” session), are described. Examples include establishing a session for data transfer, wherein participants easily enter and leave the session without losing data or connections between the participants. Participants in a session may gain access to and catch up with data previously transmitted. Various data structures are useful for communicating messages. Such data structures may be used for transmitting message data or identification data to participants.

Abstract: A system and process for handling clips with annotations is provided. A user annotates a document. The system gathers context information regarding the clip and displays the clip or clips with annotations to the user. A system for showing clips of content and annotations may include an input for receiving content and annotations, a processor creating a renderable image having the clips with at least one of the clips being a combination of two or more annotations, and an output for outputting the renderable image. A method of displaying clips may include receiving at least two sets of an annotation and related content, filtering the received, combining the filtered output, and displaying a combination of the filtered output.

Abstract: A turbine static structure having reduced leakage air is disclosed. A static structure turbine support ring having few segments is disclosed in which the segments have improved thermal expansion capability with reduced air leakage. A plurality of radially extending slots are placed in the segments to reduce stiffness. In order to minimize air leakage through the support ring, generally circumferential slots are placed in the ring and connect with the generally radially extending slots. Positioned in each of the generally radially extending slots and generally circumferential slots, and in contact with each other, are two sheet metal plates. The plates are staked to the support ring structure so as to provide a seal member, yet compensate for thermal growth.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, perform methods for determining bid amounts necessary to ensure advertisements or other content items will be presented in designated positions other than the most prominent (or first) position when bid information associated with a lesser included match type is not requested, are provided. Bids are received that are associated with a given keyword, a content item and a desired placement position. Based thereupon, a placement position in which the bid will cause associated content item is determined and compared to the desired placement position. If the determined placement position is not within a given error threshold of the desired placement position, the bid is iteratively adjusted in such a way that an adjusted bid amount is determined which will ensure placement in the desired position.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing data transform a first data structure (e.g., a hierarchical data structure) into a second data structure (e.g., using a parsing system), wherein the second data structure includes a first set of leaf nodes under a first ancestor node (additional sets of leaf nodes and/or ancestor nodes also may be defined in the second data structure). One or more potential candidate nodes for the ancestor nodes may be identified based, at least in part, on the ancestor nodes from the first data structure associated with the leaf nodes grouped under the new ancestor nodes. In at least some examples, the leaf nodes grouped under a new ancestor node will “vote” for their original ancestor node, and the node receiving the most “votes,” in at least some instances, will be reused as the corresponding ancestor node in the second data structure.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for determining whether an ordered genetic test will duplicate at least one existing genetic test result. The method includes receiving an ordered genetic test that is for a particular genetic sequence or variant thereof for an individual. The method further includes determining whether the individual has at least one existing genetic test result for the particular genetic sequence or variant thereof. Upon determining that the individual has at least one existing genetic test result for the particular genetic sequence or variant thereof, a notification of the existence of the at least one existing genetic test result is provided.

Abstract: A system and associated methods for orchestrating a collaboration session are disclosed. One method involves orchestrating a collaboration session between a requesting clinician and another clinician where information is exchanged electronically. According to the method, requests for collaboration sessions are received by a computer system from the requesting clinician, with a given request related to a piece of patient-focused clinical data. Each request is analyzed to build a roster of potentially available clinicians for collaboration. A collaboration session is then facilitated between the requesting clinician and one or more of the potentially available clinicians on the roster.

Abstract: The subject invention provides for systems and methods that visually enhance paid inclusion listings to facilitate offering a clear and substantial value to paid inclusion advertisers while retaining ordering rights to keep listings relevant to users. More specifically, the systems and methods allow paid inclusion listings to be visually modified at the discretion of the advertiser, the user, and/or the search service provider (e.g., publisher of search results) to facilitate differentiation among advertisers, companies, and the like. The ordering of the enhanced paid inclusion listings is not compromised based on the number or type of enhancement selected by the paid inclusion customer. A search service provider or search result publisher (“service provider”) can offer a plurality, or at least one, of different types of enhancements to paid inclusion customers (“advertisers”) to affect the rendering of any paid inclusion listing to the user.

Abstract: A diffuser for positioning in an opening of a passageway having conditioned air, the diffuser including a grate assembly, a pan assembly, and a retention assembly. The grate assembly includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion contains an aperture, a plurality of slotted sections, and a flange. The lower portion includes downwardly depending sidewalls and a stop. The pan assembly includes a tray with an aperture and a plurality of upwardly depending legs. The retention assembly couples the grate assembly with the pan assembly and contains a first member that is movable from a first position to a second position for selectively engaging the stop.

Abstract: A computer system and method for providing user feedback when creating, modifying, or editing electronic documents. An insertion point icon is placed in a document at a position for insertion and/or deletion of text, graphics, data, etc. Upon receiving a user input indicating movement, the insertion point icon is divided into two icons, one stationary at the position, and one moving with user input. When movement is complete, space contained between the icons may be deleted or inserted. The system may be used to shift handwritten text to subsequent lines on an electronic document containing handwritten text, and may be used to bring two groups of text together, deleting space in between. A connection line may be displayed between the icons to provide feedback regarding the action to be taken.

Abstract: Devices and methods for testing a subject's visual ability are provided. More specifically, the device may include a perspective vision tunnel comprised of plurality of low reflectance walls with one or more mirrors arranged within the perspective vision tunnel. Visual indicia for administering the test of a subject's visual ability are displayed into a first portion of the perspective vision tunnel. The one or more mirrors are arranged to reflect the visual indicia out of the first portion such that visual indicia may be visually perceived by the subject. In accordance with the invention, a subject may be tested utilizing the perspective vision tunnel and input may be received from the individual. The received input may then, for example, be used to compute data related to the user's visual ability.
